I don't find any apps store in windows 7. I just see or experienced it only on windows 8. Windows 8 apps is available on apps store provided by Microsoft which is virus free and easy to use.
How how did you repair those corrupted files ?

I never tried Win8 actually but my friend who tried using Win8 switched back to Win7 because his computer sometimes bugs down and not only that it also occupies more space than Win7.
Win8 just recently came out of the market so maybe it is still under improvement, just my thought.
For me just stick with Win7.

i'm now using windows 8, and i really like it. i really like the new features and its speed and hardware requirements. it really makes my computer usage to be simple. but most people will really need to explore sometimes to be familiar with its new interface.

Hi
Even I can't say anything right now, because so far only using windows 7.. But I am really wanting to try my hand with windows 8 too. About your problem, I guess there shouldn't be any problem like that, I mean it is upgraded version of windows 7 so it should be better in all the way.. Windows 7 is surely a good operating system, and I hope I will say same thing for windows 8 too.

I would be a great idea to stick with windows 7 for now because of bugs windows 8 may have and most of your software may not be compatible as of yet. Wait until windows 8 service pack 1 is released or another solution is to make your computer able to do multi-boot where you can split your hard drive and have it run different operating systems on the same computer system. I currently have windows XP and vista running on the same computer.

Hi Dawoodumer42,
Windows 8 is great but I don't find it user friendly yet. It's still a pretty new OS so we expect a lot of bugs. I'm still using Windows 7 since it's very stable. Maybe I'll wait for Windows 8 to be much more stable before deciding to change my OS. I;m still satisfied with Win 7 and I'm comfortable using it. I'm afraid that when I use windows 8 I might regret it now. So I'll wait for sometime before using it.

Interesting of you to let us know about this weird windows 8 reaction to improper reboots. Personally I always prefer to stay behind a windows version as usually, every new version comes with a few bugs, that get fixed in the long run by several updates and service packs. Windows 7 looks like it has reached a very steady level, so I would stick with it for a little more.:)
