Hello friends and fellow myLot members,
Well, I recently joined a new GPT site. As I was busily viewing sites to earn some extra money, I came across an advertisement for Swagbucks. Now, I have recalled hearing about Swagbucks before here in the myLot discussions.
What I am really curious about is does it live up to the hype of this advertisement that I saw? The ad said to stop clicking now you can earn three times as much with Swagbucks. You can earn cash or prizes.
Please share your experiences with Swagbucks. What type of ways can you make money on their site. Has it been easy to earn with them. Do they have lots of ads to click? Approximately how much do they pay per click.
Thank you for sharing, and happy myLotting!

Swagbucks is definitely great. It launched in India in the last week of October. Not all of its features like SB TV, surveys are available to us at the moment. Yet I managed to collect 970 SBs (points) which amount to about $6.50 just by searching! So literally I'm doing no work. I'm just searching the web as I usually do. The only difference is that I'm rewarded this time. Good day!

MIMO, hopefully Swagbucks will open up more of the features there in India. I cannot see a reason why they would not offer those members in India all the same features as those that members in the United States have open to them for earning from the site.

Since you're from the States, its even better for you. As all the earning options from Swagbucks are open to you. You do not need to rely upon searches and referrals only unlike us.

silverfox, that sounds like it was a very nice surprise. I think that is the first time that I have ever heard of a site giving you a bonus for your birthday.

You're from the United States, so some of the things that the Indian users have already told you wouldn't apply to you if you joined Swagbucks.
For example, the Swag Store rewards are different for us than they are for Raja and mohkanari and MIMO. They can redeem 700SB for a $5 PayPal payment. They just changed the PayPal rewards for us and took away the $5 and $10 options. The lowest amount we can get by PayPal is $25 for 2500SB. It's really easy to make that much. I can do it in less than a month with just personal earnings. I'm making more than 100SB a day on average now.
If you have an Android phone or tablet, the best way to make super-easy SB every day is to download the Swagbucks TV Mobile app and run it every day. You'll earn 2SB for every 5 videos you watch, and it maxes out at 50SB a day.
The other big earner for me is the SBTV videos. I installed the Swagbucks toolbar in Internet Explorer, and it lets me view SBTV channels in a popup window there. It's a lot more convenient than watching on the main SBTV page on Swagbucks.
You can win SB for searching. I usually only get 7-10SB from my searches... if I win anything at all.
I've never done any of the CrowdFlower tasks. I don't do many offers, and when I do, I usually stick to to the easy ones that pay 1-2SB for simple things like watching a video. Sometimes I shop online using the Shop & Earn page, which is a great way to get a lot of SB if you're already planning on buying from a store they have.
The daily bonus meter is great, too. If you meet the goal on one day, they'll give you a bonus amount for it. If you can meet the goals for one, two, three weeks or the entire month, you'll get a huge bonus on top of all the daily bonuses. I'm totally hooked on it... I've only missed about 7 days since they introduced the bonus system in June.
Oh, gosh, how could I forget the coupons?! I earn tons of SB each month just by printing coupons through Swagbucks and using them on my grocery shopping. They take ages to credit, but I love seeing my balance jump up by 100SB or more when I'm not expecting it.
I guess you can probably tell that I love Swagbucks... If there's anything else you'd like to know before joining, or you need help figuring things out when you join, I'd be happy to help you out.

FrugalMommy, thank you so much for the information. Swagbucks sounds like a great site. I am really thinking about signing up at that site. I do not have an Android or SmartPhone. I may upgrade in the New Year.
Pretty much, I just like that it sounds like a really easy site to earn money from on a fairly regulary basis. With the different features between the US and India, I can understand why there is the difference in the PayPal cash out amounts.
Printing coupons could also help me to save on groceries, so it could be a win, win!

It's very easy to earn money with Swagbucks. I usually watch SBTV videos while I'm posting on Mylot. I have two browser windows open side by side so I can see both sites at the same time.
I didn't realize it when I posted my original response, but the current rates for the gift card prizes in the Swag Store might be temporary. There's a blog entry that says they'll only be priced like that through the end of the year. I hope they decide to extend those rates past December 31... http://blog.swagbucks.com/2012/10/lower-prices-limitless-rewards.html

I belong to SwagBucks. I think it seems like a good site. Although I am really not a fan of doing certain offers. I ill not pay for anything and I hate signing up to sites that do not interest me. However, I also believe that it will take some time to accrue those SwagBucks. I have not really been active there because I have many sites I do daily including MyLot. Personally I feel you can make more here if you put in the time then on SwagBucks. But, every little bit helps. I now am going to go back and see if I can fit it into my daily routine. So far, unlike other sites that recently closed, they seem to be going strong. But lets face it, everything is a gamble.

I have to say that I disagree with you. I've been with swagbucks for several years and they've always paid me on time when I've requested a prize.
The only thing that you are missing if you don't want to join swagbucks is easy money.

I have gotten paid a couple times, via Amazon e-gift certificates and Paypal transactions - I've probably made a total of $30 from them in many a six-month period, but this was a few years ago. I would assume it is still legitimate now. It's hard to earn Bucks and seems to be pretty random as to when the search will pay you. But it is legitimate - or at least it used to be. Unless you have a million referrals, I would not expect to earn all that much.

Swagbucks is great. I'm always dubious of these sites and join with some trepidation but have found this one to be excellent. In the first month I received 5 x £5 Amazon voucher payments for doing relatively little. I think it's probably the fastest earner of all these kinds of sites I have tried. I'm actually writing a blog about these sites and those that are good and those that aren't - it's listed under my profile if you're interested....

Nero, that sounds like a good resource. I will keep have to take a look at it. Got to switch browser though to view profile pages. I do not know why but Firefox does not like myLot profile pages it times out every time. Do you have a link for joining Swagbucks on your blog?
