What a lovely way to see that spider web. I am guessing you may be familiar with the Christmas Spider legend? If not, get back to me and I will find you a link. I have worked so many strange hours this week I am exhausted, but I will be back on after a quick nap.

If you search Christmas Spider you will find several links to this legend. I believe it originates in Czechoslovakia. I am including one.http://familycrafts.about.com/od/treeornaments/a/christmasspiderl.htm The reason I chose this link is that the story is concise, and there is also a link to tell you how to craft your own Christmas ornament spider. It seemed like something you would enjoy.

I don't care for spiders but they do a good job on the webs don't they? This one sounds very nice indeed. Too bad you can't take a picture of it.

They do make a good job of webs, its amazing that they keep spinning them even though us humans keep knocking them down

Aww well I'm glad something that I always view as disgusting gave you a nice feeling and made you feel christmasy. Spiders make webs all over my porch at night and so many times I go out and walk right through webs that I dont notice. It always gets in my eye lashes and is hard to get off when you have mascara on that it sticks to and you cant rub because it will get black all over your face.

Yes it is horrid to walk through the webs, luckily the web was on the side of the porch so it caused no problems

We have several large fields for the Llamas and they are all fenced with wire fence. One of the biggest gifts we get is on a frosty morning when each and every wire is decorated with silver spirder webs, if it's sunny they are even more beautiful.

Spiders do make some pretty webs sometimes. I'm scared of the spiders though.

Im afraid spiders and I don't mix very well! I think is a mutual dislike some how...but I like to see their webs in the early morning dew it looks so beautiful and delicate and that is far as I go! here in Australia we get the big huntsman in summer and they are quite scary!

It has actually only been cold enough once this year that we've had a frost and when we did have a frost, it was after all of the spider webs that we had around our house had blown away for the cooler months of the year. However, I know exactly what you are talking about when the spiderwebs look all silvery. This will not only happen when there has been a frost, but it will also happen after there has been a gentle rain. They always looks so pretty after a gentle rain in my opinion, especially when the sun's rays stream through them.

Yes the sun on them looks very good as well
