when making decisions for a holiday vacation destination, what should one take into consideration, particularly if traveling to a foreign country, although within the country is not left out.

Now-a-days, since my budget is kinda low, the first thing I take into consideration are the expenses of the traveling, plus the hotel prices. So anything out of budget gets crossed out immediately.:P Next thing i think about then is the beauty of the place, wether it be a town or the natural beauty of nature. And last but not least, I check a bit the criminal ratings of those places, because at many places there is a pretty high tourist crime rating.

I consider the location of the place and how much it is going to cost to get there. I find out if it has accommodation that is affordable. Typically I travel to a region by plane and then stay in different places along a planned route. It could be one country like it was South Africa in 2009. We visited Cape Town and the Garden Route. Due to traveling with my kids I consider if malaria is present there. I have destinations on my travel wish list for the future. They are places I have found out about and I think I will love it in those places.

My disabled son is 5 years old and my daughter is 3 years old. We went to Colombia in 2010. I wanted to go to a national park until I found out there is a risk of yellow fever there. We stayed in the coastal cities. We took a ferry out to a beach and mosquitoes were biting that evening whilst waiting for a bus.

First of all the reason why I want to go on a holiday. If I know that I will search for a place where is possible what I am looking for. I do search for information on the internet and ask people if they have been there. Next step is the price since I never travel alone I have to be able to pay for the journey over there but also the staying. I am not able/willing to spend a lot of money at the place I am staying so it's important to stay somewhere where I can buy or make my own food but also am able to travel easily myself (walking is fine too I don't care about luxury).

-money exchange rates, where they can exchange or get money
-if they can speak the language/what kind of language is spoken there
-what kind of holiday they want - hiking, sightseeing or sunbathing... and what certain place there is the most suitable
-illnesses that could be caught there... if someone travels to Africa, for example, they should get some injections... also, preparing medicine
-how they can get around the town/city (whether they should rent a car or go by bus or they would have prepared tours)
-type of accommodation
-how in advance they can book everything
-how to to get there - if they go by plane, buy tickets in advance
-what to bring and pack
-what kind of products or items they cannot bring back to the home country (for example, in most countries, now you can't bring shells home)
-the customs they should be aware of (for example, we were told that in Greece, you can't flush the toilet, or something like that)

There are things to consider when on a trip, first you need to start of with reservation plans. In a way, it will help you have no hassle with regards to your travel accommodation, expenses, and places you might want to consider going when on a trip.
Some things to consider include:
Lodging (You should find a good spot to stay when you are travelling, have a reservation for hotels and find it's ammenitites and find a spot that is accissble to different location and landmarks that are just a walk away from your hotel)
Air Travel (You should consider buying plane tickets a month or a week before your vacation, early bird reservations have more discounts and promos than on site tickets)
Car Travel (When planning a vacation that can be done on road, consider loading enough gas on your car, consider finding alternate routes that may give you less time to go to your location. also, if you are travelling abroad, you can also do rent-a-car services so that you won't have any problems in terms of transportation fare).
International Travel (It's advicable to contact a travelling agency, in a way they can help you with your reservations and travel packages on tourists destinations and promos)
Money (Consider having an extra budget for your travel don't consider less money on your travel but bring a big bulk of amount, you never know if you had some excess on your stay)
Technology (Always bring a handy device that lets you do multimedia and communication, a smartphone, gps, would be a perfect tool for your travel needs)
