priorities in housekeeping

Since I am a fulltime houseman I have my own priorities. My housemate has them too: completely different. We agreed that I will do housekeeping since I am good in it. Sometimes I wake up a bit late and find out he already started laundry. Bedsheets!! Just when I planned to wash towels cause we're running out of kitchen- and teatowels. This is just an example. But everytime I have something planned he comes in between and there goes my schedule for the day. Of course he means well and that makes it difficult to tell him. It is not a matter of life and death but it sometime drives me crazy. I'd love to tell him "Please don't interfere with my work as I don't do it with yours". Some people may consider housekeeping not as work but I'll tell you: It takes a lot of management and multi tasking!

Does your roommate know your sechedule exactly? If not, it would be a good idea to write a schedule out every week or day, so he can know what to do and what not to do.

Thanks for your respond. The problem is that normally we do judt our own things. But sometimes he feels like doing something in the household, Very well meant but I'd rather have he discusses it first. But you might be right by writing my planning a day ahead.

Why not remind him of your agreement regarding 'division of labor.' He might not be aware that he's messing up your schedule.
