I've been doing tv show subtitles from english to my mother tongue for quite some time, about 3 years and I though since I put so much effort into it, about 5,6 hours always, are there any sites that offer payment for doing so? I know my language is not known, but maybe there are some sites that would pay for translation?

Hello ap0calyptic
I would suggest the same sites as TeamCholent to find possible translation freelancing jobs, atleast if you dont want to pay a yearly membership and have diplomas in translations and such.
Personally I find most of my translation jobs from English into my native language on oDesk...
alternatively Freelancer, Elance and Guru could also be a place to search jobs, again it would depend on the target language.

That is not so sure, since my target language is Danish and it is estimated about 6million people speak Danish world wide - yet there is work to get.
I must though say it is not sure that you can work as a translator full time, maybe over time you will have a portfolio big enough and enough clients to support you full time working, but dont count on it in the beginning.

Your best options would be odesk and guru etc where you can pitch for jobs and perhaps someone will snap you up. What languages can you translate into and from?
