A bottle of jam!

I send my 'girl Friday' to get me a bottle of pineapple jam and only after she left the premises I realised my mistake. I actually wanted marmalade. She returns from the shop and hands me a bottle and apologises that she forgot which jam I wanted and that she just told the shopkeeper to give her a bottle of jam. And lo and behold what she brought was marmalade! A happy blunder indeed.

hi shshy 7 I think the term started outr with Friday a character in a novel who was always waiting on Robinson Crusoe then it became a slang term for a typist receptionist does everything girl so they got the nickname Girl Friday.

Hatley has explained it very nicely to you about 'girl Friday'.
These kind of blunders are welcome. Right!?

That's nice. All's well that ends well? It was a good thing the lady gave pineapple marmalade, though, not strawberry jam or something.

A happy blunder, for sure! I am quite surprised...tho, that only Orange Marmalade is on your venue! Honestly, I absolutely swooned the first time that I indulged in..GINGER marmalade, a flavour explosion in your mouth! And the very best is from Robinson's which I think is a U.K. import! Now, I only make Ginger marmalade...and Ginger is becoming a bit less expensive now that it is grown in the Interior of B.C. Guess I will have to send you a jar!

Ginger marmalade? Ofcourse it should taste yummy. We make what is called ginger preserve from tender ginger which is a laborious process. Waiting for the jar!

Good day, ladies, here in B.C. we have Orange, Pineapple or Ginger Marmalade! Am totally in love with Ginger, and finally I mastered the process, so can make my own...as at one time it was only an Import, and on the pricey side. It's OH SO GOOD!

Hi friend, good to hear about this, she realize her mistake and ask sorry for her activity, it shows her generosity, doing mistakes is common to every one, but not all the persons realize their fault and ask sorry for it
