I cleared up my NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) clearance yesterday and I couldn't help but notice the step-by-step sign posted there on how you can change your name legally. It looked like it's a simple process and I'm kinda considering changing my name. Ron Artest changed his name to World Peace, right? Not saying it's cool but it's pretty much our priviledge to do so, right? I guess where I'm coming from here is, all those video games I've played where you can create your own character, I think they all did a number on me. Creating your own character is a fun and creative process. You can experiment on what clothes you'll give it, what type of physique, what type of beard, etc.. I figured, I can do that in real life, but changing my name. It really is beginning to sound like I like to do it just for the fun of it.. because it is. Right now, well actually for the past few hours, I've been thinking of a cool name to have if ever I'm changing it. How about you? If you can change your name easily, what would you like to have? I'd take something like Clint Eastwood or Steve Austin.

Weird but?... It's pretty awesome, what're you talking about. Give me a nice name you had always wanted all your life, or at least you fancied. All of us have one.

There was a time when I also think like I want to change my name. I know my mom named me and she chose this name because of some family history. Anyway, back then, I thought that being a girl with a guy's nickname is so cool. So for example, I want to be named Alexandra and my nick will be Alex, or Samantha and I'll be Sam. Like you, I think it's cool. But my mom said I don't look like a Sam or an Alex, whatever that means, haha! I read from somewhere that names can be powerful to help shape a person's destiny. Or something to that effect. Then when it's time for me to have a formal work and I have to pass all those paperwork, like the NBI clearance and I have discovered that I have no hit whatsoever, even now that I am already married. Only then did I start to appreciate my mom for giving me this name. I never had any problem at all, I think it is safe to assume therefore that I am the only one in the Philippines with this name, lol!

Well, that's pretty cool. Your name being unique means your mom did a good job thinking of one for you. I presume your name is "XYZ"?
