I don't know how many of you were members of this site, but they suddenly shut down recently. The bad part is that they didn't alert members of the site about the shut down until the day of it. I found out too late, and ended up losing all 2300 points that I had been saving up. Man that hurt. Anyway, how many of you were members of Superpoints, and did you ever redeem any of your points for gift cards etc?

I was a member of SuperPoints and I had just about 3,000 points. I had no idea, nor did i get any information from them about this. So I lost out. I was real close to payout as well. They are not the only site that closed down. PeopleString closed, BeeZag and Varolo. So it seems like lots of them are disappearing.

Yea I'm with you all the way on that. I also agree with you about Mylot. I believe it's going to be here for a while to come as well :)

Hey there my friend. Yea I had around 2300 points, and I was saving as many as I could. I just logged in one day, and saw they were no more. It definitely sucks to see our efforts for our points just do down the drain in that manner. I guess we should really start heeding others advice, and cashing out at the minimum threshold the way these sites are going down. Thanks for responding good sir!

I had over 1000 points in my account, too.
I wish I'd been more active there. I only visited a few times a month, and I didn't get any payments from them.

Thanks for respodning minx267, and FrugalMommy. I had around 2300 points that I was saving up. I wish that I could have gotten a warning or something, so I could have cashed them out. I never received any payments from them either.

I was really disappointed when they shut down just all of a sudden. Wish they'd have given us more of a warning. I was on my way on saving up for another $10 paypal and BOOM gone. I was about half way too. :( I wish they didn't have a minimum of how much amount of points you need to have before you can use them. . .very difficult for a basic member to get any referrals. (Most people I knew who did programs like this had already signed up for superpoints. . .) But no use crying about it now, that just means one less site to keep track of.

I definitely share in your disappointment YamiKiba. However, you are correct, definitely one less site to worry about checking in daily on. I just wish all of the efforts I put into the site weren't for nothing.

Oh I was so disappointed! I was 13 points away from being able to cash out for a second time. I was in the middle of my spins when the page refreshed and the big announcement showed up. It is disgusting the way they did members! So far SuperPoints, Beezag, PeopleString & Calyp have closed on me this year. I have learned from this experience though. Try to cashout at a minimum... you never can tell if the site is going to shut down on you out of the blue!

Yes, cashing out at the minimum is best it seems. You never can tell when a site is going to flop.

You're right Shellyann36. It was a hard lesson to learn, but it was necessary. Thanks again :)

Yes I agree with you Shellyann36. It was very classless how they shut the site down with no kind of real warning. It's interesting that you mentioned cashing out at the minimum. Several people have recommended that I do it, but I always like saving up. I guess I really need to start taking that advice since these sites seem to be dropping left and right. Thanks for responding.

I too was disappointed when Superpoints closed. I was lucky and cashed out the day before it closed, they also paid me as promised.
I see from some of the other replies and posts to this thread that people seemed to be saving up before cashing out - they appear to have themselves a target.
I have always cashed out as soon as I reach the minimum figure or at around a dollar - I have been stung before and I can always store money that I have earned in my paypal account.

I'm one of those people you mentioned robspeakman. Glad that you were able to cash out before things turned sour. It never crossed my mind that I was making myself a target by saving up my points. However, you are correct in everything you say. Thanks for responding.

@phosphate, Nobody is complaining. We're just simply having a discussion here about Superpoints. Thanks for the information though.

Instead of complaining, try calling or writing Superpoints LLC— the site is down but the company is still in business.
