taboo?

Taboo means something that is out of the ordinary or something that is usually not talked about in a normal conversation. Sometimes it could be scary and weird, too as in Rituals of some tribes.

Hi, Dictionary meaning of the word 'taboo' is prohibition, or forbidden. I saw the program on discovery channel named taboo. This is the program based on the people who are abnormal or strange or different from us. Some people in this program are very short, one man has the height more than 7 feet, some has only two fingers etc. Normal people always stare these people like they are looking very strange thing. These people feel very awkward when someone behaves with them differently. These abnormal people are facing their disabilities bravely and they are happy with whatever they have.

Taboo is refer as a subject or an activity, like i social custom they tend you to cease doing an activity or talking you're into because they think it is way too embarrassing. :)

Taboo means something that is improper or socially unacceptable, or to some, as you said, not normal. As in interracial dating or gay marriage or abortion, it is considered to be "taboo" because it is something that is tended to be looked down upon by society. Hope this helps!

it's something that you shouldn't do or see or hear. you're taboo to hear other people talking if you're not invited. you're taboo to see adult movie if you're not old enough. you're taboo to kiss in public area. (in my country it is, I know in some countries it's not)
