She did not call me

So I called my supervisor the other week that if she got any project then she will inform me, but today I called her in the afternoon, only then she reveal that the project will start tomorrow and actually it was going to start today. I was mad and asked her why she did not inform me? She said the project will start tomorrow and that's it. So do you think she don't want me to work there anymore because its a supervisor's responsibility to inform her teleinterviewers for any project to begin.

Sad as it may sound, but it's also the supervisor's prerogative whether he or she informs her subordinates a day or even just an hour before a project starts. But this is a sign of a bad and ineffective supervisor. I guess that's the kind of supervisor you have right now. One way to cope with this is to always be proactive like what you have done. You didn't wait for her to tell you whether there's a project or not. I know how frustrating this could be but sometimes we just have to bear with poor supervisors.

In the company we have 600 interviewers including other states in our country but in our office its not more than 200. So she choose who she wanted to be in the project, but I already told her I was willing to work on any project given, and she ignore me. I think I am being neglected.

I think yes, I do not like her very much as she is very pressing to me, not to the others, and I quite go back earlier if I don't like that day. Sometimes I promise to come to work and I don't come in the end as I feel very stressful working with her. Maybe she knew and sense it, so she is treating me this way.

I maybe wrong, but it seems that she has some ill-feelings towards you. Has there been an incident when the two of you got into an argument? I think you should talk to her and find out the reason behind this or else this might continue to happen in succeeding projects.

Hi wong, Its only you who can detect where the error occured and how to mend it. Good relationship is a must to move on though not always its possible to maintain it. Im not in a good term with my boss and his clerk is because they are corrupted individuals. They wanted bribe from me but I refused to give them. And so I was to fall the victim of their revenge though I was able to handle it. Besides this, I dont think my boss was any good student. May be he got the job by virtue of nepotism. Nepotism is a popular and most familiar term in my society as well as in my country. You already know my country is number one corrupted country as par the evaluation of Transparency International. Btw my previous boss was a good person. She got transfered to another place. But I stil miss her. I think she was really an educated woman. She was an honest and dedicated person. Any way we are to live in a society we have to maintain a good relation with others. That does not mean we have to be sycophantict to those worthlesses. We must strictly maintain our personality. We must show the requisite decency to others regardless of what decency others show to us. We have to try not to be affected by what negative anyone comments about us. We must remain fair. We must work hard to give good service to our general people. I think general people are my real boss. Because they pay taxes to me. So I must address the problems of my real bosses with highest priority, love and responsibility. Stay fine.

I honestly do think that there are some times when it comes to a job that is project based that companies don't always call their employees because they don't know if the employees really want to work for the company or if they are individuals that are just doing the work because they feel like they are obligated to the company for one reason or another. I don't think that you should be upset with her, but I do think that you should make it more clear to your supervisor that you are always interested in working on future projects.

hi there, well, for me, i would like to give it a benefit of the doubt. meaning, i will just think that she just forgot to call me and this is not her intention. maybe because of her too busy schedule, she have forgotten to inform me about the project. and just to relieve me from any stress that i might feel i will just think it that way for the meantime.

Yea...that may be good to stay away from negative thoughts, I like to work in call center but not with inefficient supervisors. Thanks for the comment, sheila. How's your life living outside your home now? Get better? Regards.

hello there, that's good. just try your best not to dwell on negative thoughts. same thing that i am doing. thus sometimes, the more we think positively, the more blessings we are going to receive. my life today is good though i am still in the process of adjustments since i am living under the roof of my bestfriend and her family. cheers.

she might just be being lazy, knowing that if she doesn't phone the people working on the project they will phone her. she may also have worked out that the people who will phone will be the most keen to do the work. its quite possible she has left everyone to phone her.

That is very possible answer to me I think. People can get very snobbish if she don't care about her reputation and keep calling people to come to work. She must remain standard.
22 Nov 12
it may be that you aren't her most favourite employee, but that doesn't matter. if she really didn't want you then when you rang she would have made an excuse, and said she had enough people, or something. so my guess is that its more to do with laziness, than not wanting you.

Hello Wongchoiyee, maybe you should go tomorrow and find out. Have you thought asking if she got busy that she forgot? she maybe have a lot of things to do and her mind that she didn't have the time to tell you. Still it's your decision if you want to go or not, must be hard this is the kind were you can't afford to get another job like that. just go for it and think about your future.

Hmm cannot blame her as we don't know what she thought. It may like she forgot or busy or the way you thought. But don't bother about her you just attend on the day.

Well i do understand your feelings. How ever take this as an opportunity to show your ability. Show your supervisor that you were able to accomplish the project even though there was no prior notice. I think it will be a golden opportunity to show your flexibility.

She has to inform me one week before the project starts like she did previously but this time, she overlook that, or maybe she don't want me in the project.

Hi friend, sad to hear about this, don't take it negatively, if you are interested in that project and have the ability to finish it in a good manner, you can take it and do it in an excellent way and surprise your supervisor with your great presentation, she must realize her mistake of not calling you about this project with your submitting activity, use this chance to prove your talent. All the best

well you can ask her if she still wants you to be in the project or not. Do you still want to work with her in the first place. But then of course every body needs job so just report to work tomorrow so that you will have no problem, then ask her as diplomatic as you can if you are still in the project. Goodluck.

I need the work but I don't like when she did not inform me. What if I did not called her today and I just got missed on the project. Do you think its fair to me?
