Has anyone thought to use Mylot as a piggy bank? What I mean by that is, as much as we write on here, then the cents add up, now just imagine if we typed and typed, and don't request a payout and just let the money pile up, for Christmas or a vacation then it just might work, even if you only save $100 or $200 that is money you can save and put on the side for Christmas, or a trip. So keep adding up your money and don't take nothing out, then see how much you actually can save. Who here on my lot can go all the way back and look at how much money you have really made overall? Especially for as long as you have been here. Please share, how much you would have had if you didn't request your payout and just watch the money add up. Me personally I only would of had $10, because i was gone for quite sometime.

I like having my payment set at just $10 so I can withdraw it to my savings account and make it work for me earning a bit of interest.
Finding out how much you've really made overall is easy. Just add up any payments you've gotten, and add that to your current balance. You can find the amount of all your payments here: http://www.mylot.com/nr/earnings_p.aspx

If I saved it here, I wouldn't earn any interest from it...

Correct me if I am wrong, but I always thought payment is automatic on myLot once you reach the payout limit that you have set for yourself, and doesn't have to be requested. If this is the case, then myLot can't be used as a piggy bank then because once you hit the payout limit your funds will automatically be cashed out to your Paypal account. But still, I think it is a good idea though to have a place where you can stockpile some "emergency" cash for a time when you might need it urgently. I currently do that with a number of other sites and it is always handy when I need a little extra cash on hand to just request payment and get the cash a few days/weeks after requesting.

I don't know because last time I had to request my payout, but that was a while ago. But it was just a thought.

You are mistaken, walking2010. You have NEVER had to request payment here. Once you reach the minimum you have set here: http://www.mylot.com/nr/editPayment.aspx (which is, by default, $10 but can be set as high as $100) by the end of any month, that amount will be transferred automatically to your PayPal account.
If you want to set the amount higher than $100, the best thing to do would be to remove any PayPal ID. MyLot would then be unable to pay you until you entered it (but would keep your balance provided that you at least logged in at least once every 90 days).

I don't recommend it. What if something happens and you can't come on Mylot for 90 days, or whatever the current time is, and you lose it all. In my case I don't use PayPal very often to buy anything so having it go into PayPal at some reasonable payout amount, mine is currently $25, and using PayPal where my money won't go away is the better choice just in case. There are all kinds of things that could keep you from using Mylot for long enough for your "savings" to go away. Some are personal problems or a family crisis, a natural disaster such as Sandy recently in the Northeast U. S., etc. Also, you cannot get your money from Mylot right away; it would probably take a month and a half or more time after a request so it would not be as good a piggy bank as PayPal which would only take a few days at most depending on how you have it set up.

Hi walking!
In as much as I wanted to save my earnings to reach as high as $100 or higher, I cannot do it now because I need the proof of payments that I have to show to my friends as a basis that myLot is indeed a good site. This way I could ask more friends to join myLot and hopefully, would be an additional earning on my part and sharing them my little knowledge which would be of help for them.
I'm sure the things about mylot payments were already shared by our friends from here.
Have a nice day!

That is exactly what i am doing ! I am happy to know that i am not the only one doing it. Yes , a cents of everyday can make it big in the future. Let us not forget that great things starts from small beginnings. It us work harder everyday so we can reach our payout early. So beautiful to think that we are earning through our passion in writing. All the best !!

In my opinion, it will be much better if we get payment already and use the money outright to earn more money. I mean it is better to invest the money payout from myLot and let it earn interest rather than storing it on your account doing nothing at all. But yes, I do accumulate my earnings here in myLot for a long time already. That is because I haven't got an EON card yet to access my funds in Paypal and withdraw. Anyway, once I get to a certain amount, some withdrawal fees are mitigated. I just hate the fact that the USD iis plunging against our country's currency making my earning a little bit less when converted to my native currency.

I only made 25 since the day I joined mylot. I blame it also on my inactivity because I had jobs back then. But now that I have none, I have more time and energy to write enthusiastically!

Hi friend, we can save our money here, but i am interested in getting monthly payments and set my payout is 10 dollars, previously once i set it as 100 dollar and got it after 4 months, i.e i made around 100 dollars with my 4 months hard working activity, at that time i attend a lot of tasks to boost up my earnings.

You have a great idea there... If you can afford to save up your earnings for the year. You can very easyily have over 100.00.

Good day walking, for me I will end up saving my earning here because up until now I still don't have a verified paypal because my atm card has no visa or master card in it. So I d be opening an eon card at Union bank for me able to linked my eon at paypal. Some say I'll be paying Php 350 for opening eon card. And until now I don't have enough money to open one and if I do have extra cash for eon card I don't have time to go to the bank because I had a 4months old baby and I don't have someone or somebody to leave my baby for awhile. Since you started this discussion I now have an idea to leave my earnings here I think if I don't request for payout for about a year maybe my earning will be big enough for the next enrollment of my daughter ^_^
Thanks for opening this idea to us ^_^

Yes, that's what I was thinking to the money I will get from here. Save like a piggy bank and if it is big then collect. I am just new here so i don't have much but it is inspiring if I that make good for a day I mean as part time here only not bad. a few cents when collected will make big bucks.

Hi
well you can keep the money here i you want but there will be no interest added ,but if we keep in our bank we get the interest and that's what i do .I have set the minimum as ten dollars ,it goes to bank from Paypal and i keep in the bank. But everyone has their ideas of saving and may be some use the money when it gets to bank such people can keep it here until you get good amount.
