What a SHAME! Too little boring life your having lately?
Don't you know how hard it is to go to the land of the free? what's with some Filipino born people in the states? don't they realize how lucky they are to have been born an American Citizen already?
I don't know but this is the first that I've heard a Fil-AM joining ALqueda, I feel sad and sorry to the parents of this ungrateful person. his parents must have sacrificed a lot only to be disappointed in the end.

Something must have been wrong...his mind was terrorized by evil and d*mons.
I agree how his parents feel right now- disappointment and misery
I can imagine how he broke his mother's heart....

Hello Jaihosis, I think some thing corrupted him in his recent experiences, because there's no way a person who had a good life there to just join the terrorist group. I feel sad for the mom of this guy, she must have went and work hard to US just to see his boy join the terrorist, very sad for the mother. they should think about their love ones if they join something like this

I do think that this was brainwashed already and had lose any connection or loyalty with where he grew up. I think it is his belief that led him to go his way. I am just not sure but I think I read in the news that this one even joined the army and even serve in Afghan war. I think this person experience war shock and at times this kind of trauma might have a negative effect on him or someone has influenced him to changed him.

Well that is an individual choice he made and I do not think it has any bearing with his being a Filipino for that matter. I think US knows that we are still an ally with them no matter what. These are just one bad apple and I think it would not tarnish our reputation with them at all.

Hello Rsa101, Then he made a huge mistake and a shame to the entire community. we struggle to gain respect from international community and tries to gain more acceptance and now we got an idiot whom believed that terrorism is the right way. though we already have bombers in Mindanao, but because they live in poverty, and like him he's led to believe killing for God is a must. I am glad he got arrested. have a nice day.

Hello Jazel_Juan, I feel sad for that man, choosing the wrong path and probably worst for the parents of that child. There's actually more spiritual experience being a Christian and it doesn't involve killing some one or killing for GOD because it's more peaceful. i feel sorry for him being influenced like that

Hello Pahak627, There's no good excuse for a fil-am to join a terrorist, what the hell is he fighting for, he wasn't a US citizen there for nothing. he's supposed to be adhering the principles of a free nation and not backstabbing it. he has disgraced our people and those who worked hard to be american citizen. well, i hope our media interviews him for that question. have a nice day.

Hi guys!
I also don't understand what terrorists are fighting for. The spread "terror" among the people. Are they happy doing that? They must think they have the supreme power to take away life, even their own. Their good life gone to waste. How sad.

I don't wanna judge him although we know it is not right for anyone to be connected with any terrorist. I do however thinks that he has his own reasons for joining. Must have experienced something, we never know what's on his mind and his reasons. Whatever it is, if he regrets it or not, there is no way he can turn his back after joining the Al queda. Getting caught surely gonna cost his life.

Hello enelym001, Well, he made a terrible choice, a lot worse than that amalayer who was the hype recently. though we have terrorist here, it's just they are persuaded due to poverty and fundamental beliefs. he ruined his life and so as his friends, he doesn't realize how hard it is for a filipino parent to work out the future that was built for them

Yes, I know it's not good to hear about some of our countrymen joining some group that is doing something against other people. Whatever it is they want to do, they are free to do it, facing the consequences. We are also living in a free country just like them. We have a choice to make like them. We can choose to do right or otherwise. Great day ahead.

Hello God_is_good, I don't agree on them making a choice of becoming a jihadist, such a disgrace and then a pain for his parents. i hope he faced the consequences and goes to jail quietly. he ruined his future. I don't think blowing yourself up in front of so many innocent people is the right thing to do. have a nice day

This person did not just become a terrorist because he was bored with his life... there is always a deeper reason behind that... it could be something he witnessed or experienced while he was serving in the army... or he had an epiphany... i always thought that terrorists are those tho spread terror just for the fun of it... but these people are educated and intelligent... they just have a very distorted way of getting attention...

Hello Aseretdd, It's still not right, if it involves killing of innocent civilizians then they're screwed big time. what's the point of getting education and living a normal life when your goal is to take life, might as well join gangs and start beating and killing people for no reason or petty power. have a nice day.

Saw this on the news yesterday. It's really a shame. Plus consider the fact that some Filipinos have illegal status in the States (or what we colloquially refer to as TNT) whereas he was a legal immigrant himself. What a waste.

Hmmm...Must be brainwashed. Or something happened that triggered him.
It is hard to go to America. I was thinking about going to America next summer. But with all the materials that I don't have yet essential to getting a visa, I'm just not sure anymore.

Hello babyanna, How are you? I still think he's brainwashed, it's a shame, filipinos go to US and work to sacrifice a lot and not to mention giving their family a future. Surely, this isn't what their parents want for them, killing an innocent life because of something they believed in dying for god. I don't know how interviews are done in the embassy's there, but here it's hard. good luck and have a good journey.

hi,
that was really sad to know,i didn't watch or even know that in television news, but what kind of thinking that guy did before he decide to join in ALqueda, that was really disappointed for us,and you are right that he already had the luck because he lived in the land where many of us dream of it.
