I see this job advertisement and i apply it. It required so many thing like copy of ID, my certificate, photo, and more. All the copy also need to be verify by someone high authority to make sure the copy is true. I rush half day to do all that before i go for interview. I feel so tension if rushing to much but i manage to do all of it and i do the interview with the company. The company said, if you are accepted, we will call you by phone. Next day, i wait and wait from the morning i wake up, still no call. I keep advice my self maybe later they will call. In afternoon, my stomach feel not good, i feel like want to poop, and i go to toilet. When i back, i look my phone and i see 3 miss call from Private Number. What a bad luck for me, i miss their call, and i lost the job.

If it was a blocked number, how do you know it was them? If you wonder..why not call the number you called to get the interview in the first place..or go back to where the interview was and tell them the situation.

why do you think you have lost it? Did they tell you that if you missed their call you will not be hired anymore? Can't you come back to the office and tell them that you were doing something when they phoned you? Not bad luck just go to them and tell them how excited you were. You worked hard for it and passed the interview. If you are hired then you are hired, then they can't just fire you for not answering the phone immediately. You have the responsibility to tell them that you are interested in the job.

Welcome to the employment world! Sounds like either the classic "don't call us, we'll call you" as their way of saying..."if you don't hear from us, we aren't going to hire you"...so they don't have to be decent and call applicants and tell them that they aren't getting the job. Or maybe they are taking all applications and reviewing them and then calling people back for another interview next week but they want to interview everyone first. Either way...calm yourself down and consider yourself not hired until you do hear from them. Don't work yourself up like that or you'll be nuts in no time. Just apply, interview and then walk away and not think about it anymore. IF they want you, they will call you. You didn't mention what kind of job it was...why did it need all those things? If it was about a security clearance kind of thing okay, but for a general kind of job.. I'm sorry but there is no way I'd give them all my personal information like that just for an interview. What if after the interview I find it isn't what I want? Then they have all my personal info about my whole life! If they dont' hire me...they have all that info probably just laying around, in some file somewhere that anyone could get to and ID theft is at hand. No, unless it was upper government or security kind of job...I would gone to the interview and told them...if they hire me, I'd be glad to furnish all that, but just for an interview to see not only if they want me, but if I want them...turning over all that personal info is just not a safe thing to do. IF they balk at you or refuse your interview..then you are better off...because for them to have issue with someone not turning their entire life over to them on an initial interview...just smells shady and suspicious to me!

Don't be despair etavasi. Everything happens for a reason. If something is really meant for you, you can have it. It only means that the job is not for you. Keep on applying and soon you will get the job that you want. Have a nice day!

I am sorry to hear that you wasn't able to get the job. well maybe next time, when you missed a call from a potential employer, it wouldn't hurt if you'd give them a call. That has happened to me and when i give them a call back, they were even happy because I took the effort to contact them which only shows that I really am interested with the job they're offering. Lesson learned though, good luck!
