I love the NYC (New York Color) brand because it is inexpensive and works very well. I also use some Maybelline things because sometimes you can get them on sale. I have used covergirl products as well and I tend to like those too. E.L.F. is another one of my favorites because it doesn't cost much and comes out looking nice.

I use a lot of AVON products because I used to sell it (I didn't make any profit from it so I stopped). I love their eyeshadows, eyeliners, and some of their mascara. I also use H.i.P. products, MAC, and a few others I can't think of right now. I have a pretty extensive makeup collection. Lol

Honestly, I wouldn't suggest selling AVON unless you know several people who would definitely buy from you. I sold for almost four years and I rarely made any profit from it. It was a lot of fun but if you do decide to do it, you shouldn't buy things for yourself because that eats into your profit. Also, you have to pay for your books and any other business supplies you want / need (such as samples, demo products, and they offer a lot of other things). I hardly ever made enough to even pay for my books for the next campaign even when I didn't buy things for myself. It also has a start-up fee of $10.
My most loyal customers were older women. The hardest thing for me to sell were the skin care products and they were the most expensive things so I would have made a lot of profit from those. I had one woman who bought one or two boxes of anti-aging cream every two weeks which helped me out a little bit. I would suggest maybe doing it part-time while also having a legit job.

As I mentioned in your other discussion, I am a person that very rarely, if ever wears makeup, so favorite brands don't apply to me at all. However, I do have a daughter that is going through the tween stage of her life right now and that does mean that she loves to have a lot of makeup and she does also wear some makeup (in moderation) on a regular basis. She really does like the ELF makeup because she can afford a fair amount of it with her allowance and it does give a good and lasting look on her. Another that she seems to like really well is Clairol, but she is only able to get some of that when we have coupons for it.

If she is allowed to do this, I would recommend going on ebay and getting grab bags or makeup lots. I got one for $5 that came with 20 products that were all really nice. I also tend to get things from the dollar store because they are affordable.

I use Maybelline foundation and lip sticks. I am very sensitive when it comes to these two as different brands can clog my pores and cause pimples. For lip stick, some brands contain too much fragrance and this will make my lips chappy. I purchased one brand that cause my lips to be itchy and there are small circles around my lips. But with Maybelline, I have already tried and tested these and it is really good for my skin.

I use loads of different brands, depending on the sales, leftovers... and well, every brands has its hits (and misses). I like Maybelline overall, though, their lipsticks are great, and I have had eyeshadows and foundations too, that worked great. I also use a lot of Essence - it's really cheap, but at the same time, it's really fun. they always come out with really unique products. I use Avon stuff, too.

I use mostly Mac cosmetics. They work much better then the cosmetics you can purchase at the pharmacy. The colors look better, the products stay on longer, and they go on smoother. I also like how I can see the products before I purchase them. The extra money is well worth it.

I'm currently using flormar, it's a make up company from Turkey. I love how affordable it is and the result is satisfactory. However, i would love to switch to the previous brand that I was using, Korres. I'm only using press powder so I'm open in trying new brands.
