As a Vegan I think the movie is not Vegan anymore, I was so shocked they allowed 20 something animals to die needless deaths. They claim to be a Tolkien fan but that's proven not to be truth.
J.R.R.TOLKIEN WAS KIND TO LIVING CREATURES.
He was in love to the trees. He resented the industry and we can see that of what Saruman made Hobbinton to become. I read a lot about him and he even talked to the trees, that was so beautiful and it shows his kind and compassionate heart. I'm sure he wouldn't aprove the deaths of animals as they even feel more than trees.
I'll boycott the movie, I won't watch on teathers, buy the blu ray as I did Lotr and make sure my money won't go to their hands. I think all true animal lovers should manifest as such, I know many that will.

This story has been manipulated by the press to coincide with the release of THE HOBBIT.
PETA have said that it is not the film company that is responsible, but thr company that provides the animals. However the two whistleblowers were fired from the company over a year ago - take the news with a pinch of salt

If this is true then this is very sad indeed and very unprofessional I would think for this type of thing to happen in a big budget film. (or any film for that matter)
Yep, Tolkien was a nature lover, that shows through in his stories. He grew up in the countryside and no doubt felt most at peace when surrounded by natural environments that worked in harmony with each other. He would be shocked to hear about this if he were still alive today.
Although I am saddened by this news, it will not stop me from watching the films as I am a huge fan of the LOTR tales and have been really looking forward to this film for years.

Have you read the book, Bill? Or are you a "film first, please" kinda guy? I think the film motivates us to read the book. Was it like that with LOTR for you?

I read The Hobbit and then LOTR before the films were even released. In fact, I saw the first film on the first day it was released due to my love of the book!

Oh... yeah, I think you told us that once before, come to think of it! It must be the "inner surfer" in Bill. He catches the wave before it peaks!
Finishing the book before seeing the film is always better, IMO. Too seldom do I practice it!

I imagine you are referring to the movie plot right? I watched the trailer last Friday and I didn't see any of that in there. Have you watched tha film yet or you have read this information from critics?
I just hope you are not referring to real facts as this would be cruel and illegal!
