Do you sometimes wish to be someone else?

I have wished to have a better life for my kids. I might be envious of what other people have achieved in their lives but not to the extent of really wanting to take the place of the other people. I just want to give the best for my kids. And if I do wish for something that I don't have , it is not something that I want all for myself. It's for my kids' future.

I am happy with my life and who I am honestly. I am happy for other people's success. If anything it makes me strive to do better in my own life when I see other people do well in their life. It motivates me. I don't get jealous of them, they worked hard to get where they are at in life, why shouldn't I do the same? For example, my aunt is rich and other people in our family are jealous of her and talk about her all the time. I personally am happy for her. I think its nice that she gets to enjoy the finer things in life...Who knows maybe one day I will too... =)

The butterflies story is really interesting. Do not jealous or envy of others. Admire them and learn how to be successful like them. What is their secret of success? Their right mindset! I personally think we should stop being jealous and start to improve ourselves. The sentence "How I wish I can be like him/her" always there. But how to be like them, we need to take action. Do something about it so that we too can be successful. They can do it, we can do it!

Always ... I always dreaming of driving a Mercedes and having a beautiful wife. When I see the young guy driving a sport car, I will comment "Must be a rich man son"!. Then I read a book, they said we should not envy, but to bless the car and the person who drives it. This should be the right attitude towards riches in life. So, now I will keep my mouth shut and do not think too much. Deep in my heart I still wish I will strike the jackpot.

good day to you, honestly speaking, there are times that i do feel and think that i am like those people who are successful enough and running their own businesses. but i am not taking this thing as a negative trait, rather, i am taking this to be my inspiration.

I have showed my uneasiness to some persons on their success using improper ways. But I never wished to be or to be like someone else. Anyone who hopes so are in a way to worsen his/her drawbacks if any.

I have not usually thought of this, i have not always thought of wanting to live other's life... i always believe that i am what i am and what my life is what i am going to do about it... and so that meant that i am going to always just try to see the practicality of my life, see what i am supposed to be... i do not wish to be someone else... i think i am already happy as i am right now and that i think i could never think of someone i want to be.

It is well described about the butterflies that I have to believe that we see more of the successes from others than that of ours. Out of this reason we might wish to be someone else for their success. There are times when I have the same wish, but since I know that it is unrealistic to me, I think that I have to act out my dream to be a success. Thanks for the discussion.

yes,i do ,i've always want to be some one else,i would like to be a richwoman ,lol.. i already have 5 years working experience,but things turn out it's really hard to reach that goal no matter how hard i working on.yet i will not give up this high hope for myself,fighting!

Yes, sometimes I feel it too, but not that I jealous or envious of the other people success or accomplishment but I sometimes want to be someone else. Someone else who popular, can talk to other people easily and admired by many. And it's not specific person, sometimes I create my other me in my head, she's popular and admired person and I wish to be that other me. But although so, I realized that I just need to work in bettering myself. In that way I can be better and appreciate for what I am become.

Actually no, not the jealous type where you want them to go down. Actually the proper term is inspired by them that I worked my way to get what I want too. But I do wish I'm someone else too, just because I wanted to runaway from a not very good situation and I want to be someone else somewhere else. I'd rather do the other way... though this is better said than done but doing it won't get you getting jealous. You'll get a life of your own and be happy with it. I must suggest stay away from people that brings you to jealousy and enviousness instead surround yourself with people who inspire you and brings out the best in you.

I'd be a hypocrite if I say that I haven't been jealous or envious of other people in my entire life, so yes, i do wish sometimes that I could be someone else. The simple reason for that is simply because I am just a human. In fact, even rich people oftentimes find themselves envious of other people. I do have a good way of buffering this desire and that is being thankful and appreciative of what I have.

being jealous to someone is not a good idea and you already commit sin in your heart because of that..stop watching whats people did in their lives,just start doing ur own business to achieve success..appreciation is always there but that's it...
