Beach? Garden? Church wedding? What do you prefer?

My brother is getting married... At first I don't feel comfortable with the idea of him getting married cause I think he's still young to do that. But, he told me that he's already prepared for that big leap on his life so of course, I am now supporting him with his decision. I even volunteered to become their wedding planner. I'm kind of excited for the preparations. Then I started to dream of my own wedding. I told myself that I want it to be simple and intimate. I want it to be held at a beach or a garden. If you'll have the chance to be married, what type of wedding do you want?

There is not much to want unless you get married abroad. A marriage abroad will only count if you get married for justice and you let it register withing 6 months in The Hague. If you want to get married you can marry in the city hall. After you asked for a date and after you signed in (you have to wait for a certain amount of weeks since people can say they do not agree with it). Getting married in church is not a wedding, it's not being married by justice so it's just for the show, a bit extra.

The philosophy is different, though, for the wedding show. You have the romantics who have a lot of emotion invested in a ritual celebration, and you have the people who want to show off their wealth or have an excuse for attention by spending too much on everything. For some of us, all the legal binding does is allow smoother movement through regular social routines; the celebration is personal and real. As for the original posts's question, I always pictured a small party in an open part of the woods... a sort of bohemian set up with a roast and a feast and fruit cake. A very small party ... no more than a dozen people. That's much more than I like in one place, anyway. (And my father probably on the lookout for wildlife: Protector Of The Feast). There might be an exchange of rings, or necklaces, or kisses. Who knows?

I have always preferred a wedding right next to the beach. I like the view, the wind and everything surrounding you when you are at the beach. Where the sand goes through your toes while the wind hits your face and blows hair away giving you a nice windy hair look. Next to the beach wedding for me would be a garden wedding. Nothing beats the outdoor feeling. Just recently my brother had his in a garden and it was just ecstatically beautiful.

I just wanted a very simple wedding. And I got that when I married 17 years ago. I was wed at the Archbishop's Palace. The only thing that I really wanted was my wedding to be officiated by Cardinal Sin, which he graciously accepted. The reception followed at the Intercontinental Hotel.

It depends when is the wedding taking place. If it's summer, the perfect setting is the beach. I'm actually very traditional when it comes to wedding so I'd rather do it in the church. It is also practical since even if it rains, the ceremony will not be affected. Garden wedding is also a good choice and I think you will get the chance to be more creative when you do the setting in a garden. Best wishes to your brother and good luck to you

I'm no longer a Catholic but my boyfriend is. We are sharing same dream with wedding which is Church wedding though garden wedding is also a good idea for me. He's ideal wedding is in the church that is beside our school when we were in high school. He''s thinking that the door is closed while everyone is inside except for the bride. Then the door will open before the bride is about to enter. The bride then will enter with white smoke filling the entrance door while the song 'Ikaw' is being played.

I am already married and my wedding was held in the church. If assuming that I am still single and will be asked what would be my preference... I would still choose a church wedding. I find it more sacred to hold the wedding in the church since marriage is a sacrament I find it ideal. Obviously I will definitely choose the beach for the honeymoon, just like what we did.

Oh. I think I prefer a beach wedding, church wedding and garden wedding at the least. I always daydream that someday I will be having a very beautiful wedding at the beach when the sun sets. I just want nature to be part of my big day.

In my opinion, church is the most sacred place to have a matrimonial ceremony. When I was still single I didn't have any place in mind to hold my own wedding.Probably because at that time, I just wanted to stay single. But unexpectedly, a guy came and swept me off my feet. The only place that came to my mind after his proposal was to get married in a church that has a long isle lols!

Hello! If you're going to ask me, I prefer it to be a garden wedding. Beach weddings are also nice but I'm worried about all the sand that would be inside my sandals, feet and for my groom and all my guests as well. So I would opt for a garden wedding. Oh, kindly give my best wishes to your brother. Cheers!!! :)

I always dreamt of a beach wedding so I started browsing the net for hotels that catered to beach weddings and me and and my friend ended up with a hotel near the beach with a huge beach hut constructed with banquet chairs inside. At the end my friend decided to have the wedding there and it was a blast but I ended up having it in a cosy hotel banquet hall.so much for our dreams but it was worth a shot.
