I would choose TV Patrol because its 25 years in service and news. The news looks very informative and clear on TV. Former Vice President Noli De Castro, Ted Failon and Korina Sanchez were veteran anchors. One TV anchor I like Marc Logan who makes the news funny or create jokes. I am also like Gus Abelgas, who was assign to investigation report, was a nice tone voice.
How about you guys?

Definitely TV Patrol! I'm biased with ABS-CBN but i do watch TV Patrol regularly. I mean the anchors are well know in the news and current affairs industries. Yeah, i like Kuya Kim's segment and also the Star Patrol and Marc Logan's.

TV Patrol or 24 Oras is no different from delivering the news. What I don't like is that they are both claiming no.1 in public service. Who is no.2 or no.3 if all the TV station claiming no.1. News is news and no one will change about it. Because all of the TV station have the same news and have the same scope...

Speaking of news programs of today, gone were the days when I was still a kid watching RPN 9's News Watch anchored by veteran newscaster Harry Gasser. It is on this news program where I was able to watch and witness how EDSA People Power 1 on February 1986 unfolded. What I like about News Watch was that the news were delivered in English, even on site reporters speak in English. I remember during those times, children are able to learn and speak English well. Not unlike today's news that almost every segment were delivered in Tagalog. Yes you might say, where's my Filipino pride and love for our very own dialect, well let's all be realistic, children today are not capable of speaking in English very well, and to think that our English is already raped with Taglish, and jejemon messages. So I am not into who are the newscasters, or what channel the news program belongs to, as long as the news is credible, fresh, informative, entertaining and eye opener then its all good for me. I'm not into network wars or popularity of anchors whether it may be a former politician or a bride of a secretary that doesn't make sense to me who will deliver the news.

Of course, I do love ABS CBN than GMA and in terms of service in news and current affair i would choose TV Patrol. Eversince I was a kid, I stick into this channel because like you do I find it very informative and entertaining, unlike other station shows. The other station, I find it very overreacting. lol

Hello Cobalt, I guess you haven't seen the dark side of ABS-CBN yet, IT's BIASED! and it took a guy like Richard Gordon for me to understand that a Media Network can actually side with a politician! I find GMA-7 more credible now than ever, though they made mistake themselves, most of their views are rational and not bias compare to ABS-CBN news reporters. how can you explain some reporters transferring to other stations? and Maria Reesa leaving that station?? I don't trust Kabayan anymore since he became a VP of Gloria Arroyo. Yeah, i do like marc logan, but the rest...

Hi friend,
Yes I agree with you, I do prefer TV Patrol. I've liked TV Patrol ever since. I really love Noli De Castro and I also like Korina. They are the best anchors for me in the Philippines. I specially liked it when Noli had the Magandang Gabi bayan. Every Halloween I really looked forward to the ghost stories in that show. Hopefully they'll bring it back. :)

I like both, each has it's own strengths as a news source. Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco are likewise veteran anchors and not one of them has been into politics like Noli de Castro.
