More than ever before, the general public today is highly aware and concerned regarding environmental, social, and economic sustainability. This has been brought about by the increasing importance of climate change, and the challenges to feed the world's population.
The pest control industry has a major role to play, particularly in enhancing healthy living conditions by reducing the hazards associated with dengue mosquitoes, rodents and other harmful pests. Unfortunately, the general public perceives that pesticides, an essential component of most pest programs, are part of the problem, not part of the solution. As the general public, it is important that we address this perception and turn it around, so that the responsible use of pest control solutions is seen as part of the answer for ongoing sustainable development.
Due to these global challenges, the general public are now more aware and concerned regarding the need to be more environmentally, socially, and sustainable in the past. So what does sustainability mean? sustainability involves a commitment to living and conducting business in a way that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It is globally accepted approach to sustaining economic growth without harming our planet or exhausting its resources, while improving the quality of life for our current and future generations.

I agree that the general public must be very vegelant on this aspect and must be fully aware on the importance and impact to our society when we took for granted quality and effective pest control management. Every living organism evolves as such everyone must stay in tune and be equipped with the latest modalities and ways in order to get rid of the harmful pest without attributing any harmful effects to the environment.

Thank you also for keeping interested on this issue grace147, controlling pests is a very critical job which definitely needs proper education. Being aware on their biological characteristics, control measures, habitats, harborage areas and their role in the ecosystem will helps us a lot to generates imperative information pertaining to prevention and control including their colonies and breeding sites. Taking for granted on this kind of enemies will definitely entail serious risks to our health. And in relation to its controlling measures, we should importantly consider the effects and response to the environment with our chemical solutions being applied. With that circumstance, technical training and proper treatment application using comprehensive IPM program and other newest innovations already plays its role to rectify the said dilemma and to circumvent recurring propagation/proliferation of any pest infestations.

Thanks for your response subhojit10. True indeed, that due to to much increasing population in our global census today, lots of chronic diseases nowadays were most likely brought by pests. The world today is facing some serious global challenges, it includes climate change, and feeding the rapidly growing global population. Climate change has seriously affected global food production and altered disease patterns across the globe. With the advent of global warming, previously controlled insects pests and vectors are expanding their distribution to areas where they have been present before. One consequence of this is that pest control of these vectors is more important than ever. Thus, it is very important to adopt and apply integrted pest management IPM program in our very own environment as they maybe serve as the best tool or alternative deterrence to circumvent increasing penetration and proliferation of pest that will creates food contamination, and a vector disease carrier if this will not be addressed swiftly.
