Inertia, I agree! Long live myLot! While I definitely agree it takes awhile to figure out the site, I will say that the benefits that you will reap from this site far outweigh the initial frustration that you sometimes feel. I think that is part of why there are so many inactive members. People get discouraged when they do not figure out how the site work. Then, they tend to leave. Some members like me decide to give it another try. Others never come back. Once you figure out this site you will fall in love with it, and you will never leave again.

I think that is one of the main reasons. I remember when I started I could not understand it and almost gave up on it. It was some months before I looked at it again. but when I actually took the time to understand I loved it ever since. Maybe it has something to do with the way the site looks. It is basic and plain in a way. I wonder of they updated the site to be or look more user friendly and possibly create a how to video for it. I think that would make people more comfortable. And they should brag about how long they have been online as well. Longevity is a great asset to be on any online sites resume.

Hi aireanna I have not taken anything to induce sleep. I don't want to be dependent on medicines too much. Mylot has since been my faithful companion which is a good lullaby to knock me off towards the end at the wee hours of morning.

zandi, sorry to hear you cannot sleep. I agree myLot is great for those nights that you cannot fall asleep. Hopefully you will find something soon to help you with the sleepless nights. I know that melatonin is supposed to help. Not sure if you have tried that in the past.

I have to actknowledge the help that I have had from mylotters, aireanna. Last year I was secluded for months during my chemo. I would have been bored and depressed if it hadn`t been for some wonderful friends here.

marguicha, thank you for pointing out that even when we cannot see our blessings that we are blessed to be part of myLot. I like the way you put it that we have the opportunity to make a better life for ourselves and to be able to share with our friends here on myLot.

@ Kashidanga, You can call it reward if you want to....no one is forcing you to consider it as "earnings"

Why do you think that we are EARNING in here in mylot. Mylot is unable to worth our time and effort. What mylot does is it gives us some REWARDS for what we are doing. Everywhere in mylot the word ''earning'' should be replaced with ''reward''. Thanks to mylot for it is giving us a chance to have a good pastime, to have all our hanging time, spare time enjoyable.

In regards to the question of teminology, if you look under our earnings it groups together the amounts that we get for participation, referrals, and rewards. Participation is the earnings that we get for being active in the forums. The referrals is the commission that we get from people that we referred to the site. Rewards are what we can earn for using the search bar. All of these things are grouped together to equal our total earnings from the site. People are correct to use the term earnings in the discussions. If we wanted to be more specific, we could say participation earnings for posting and responding on the site. Jailho, I totally agree with you myLot is the best place to share our feeling and vent our frustrations. The people here on the site are so understanding and helpful.

ShyBear, I know what you mean. I cannot wait to get my payment from myLot next month. I wish you luck in reaching the minimum $10 mark, We still have about 6 more days to go, so I am sure you can make your goal. It would be nice if I could hit the $15 mark or higher before the end of the month. It is possible. So, I just keep posting a little more too!

We'll I'm a mommy and I have no internet at my house. We moved about 6 weeks ago and hubby just has one part time job that pays about $8 and hour so we don't have much money at all right now. I have to come to my parents house to get on mylot which I don't get long to get one it and my phone can let me do some but it burns throw the data so I have to be careful with that. I'm almost at $9 so hopefully I can get to $10 before the end of the month. It's taken me almost 2 months to get to where I"m at right now. Normally it doesn't take me this long to make the money but with little ones they come first.
