Last night, my best friend who is a Nurse in a mall here in our city texted me that a janitor of them fainted while on duty. She asked him what time did he had his last meal and the janitor told him that 7pm....my friend replied 'but it is still 6pm'. Which only means that the janitor have not had any single meal during the day and his last meal was during the other day...her heart was touched including mine, and she just found her self buying for a value meal in a nearby fastfood chain....

That is good that your friend decided to help that poor guy. I am just surprised that he could endure that long before his body gave in because of that. I hope that janitor would be given assistance to at least provide for him meals that could last until his next pay at least so that he could continue with his work. If he will do that often his body would indeed give in to a more serious health problem.

I admire your friend for doing such for this poor janitor, i just can't imagine not eating an ENTIRE DAY! i mean not eating a couple of hours already makes you feel the headache. his experience proves how poor the country is, but at least he has eaten something thanks to your friend.

I just hope that there are still plenty of our fellow Filipinos who are kind hearted to do such thing to a stranger.

That is so unfortunate... a man who is working but is not able to buy food for himself... he must have a family to support for that to happen... janitors do not earn a lot here in our country... there are times when they are not even given the minimum amount of salary imposed by the law... my heart goes to those people who try to earn a decent living but still cannot make ends meet...

It's a pity, the man had nothing in his stomach for the whole 24 hours!!! There are lots of them in the city. I would like to share what my son told me when he was still new in the city to look for a job. He told me that he experienced having eaten once a day only. I guess he was more fortunate than the man who fainted. Hope there are free meals for them in the mall. Even if it is only for lunch. How can he work properly when his stomach is empty.

It's so pity to think that most of our countrymen works even with an empty stomach!

That is just unfortunate and great thing, your friend thought of getting the man something to eat. Hopefully, others will do the same thing should they encounter the same situation. And honestly, Im not being a pretender but i would surely do the same thing if I had been in your friend's position.

I just hope also that he is okay now and that he already found someone who will lend him money in order to buy food for the meantime that he has not yet received his salary.

Thanks a lot, it was your friend took care of him. Imagine working the whole day without eating any yet that day. Your friend was a good guy. Or maybe the janitor meant 7am? But still it's already 11 hours without food in the stomach.

Oh the poor guy! I wonder why he didn't even try to get something, anything in his tummy when he's doing work the whole day. A cup of hot drink, some bread or some fruit would suffice, at least it would give him some bit of energy even though it may not be that filling. But then we don't really know why. At least he's lucky your friend was there and took pity on him.
