I like to learn flute it is my favorite musical instrument,rather than sting instrument or drums I like air blown instrument it gives sweetness to my ears .Yesterday I purchased a basic regular flute.I try to find flute musical class in my city but could not find any institute or person who teaches flute.All I could find is guitar,keyboard,piano class only.Then I remembered when I first said to my friends that I want to learn flute the discouraged me, they said "flute it dose't look stylish better learn guitar".There is no wonder why I could not find any flute class....now a day people do thing for fashion and style.
But thanks to internet I searched in google any I found some good site and videos in you-tube .I downloaded that and practicing by myself

Good for you to learn to play flute on your own. It is too bad that there is no one who teaches people to play flute where you are. Don't let your friends discourage you from playing flute. Music is music whether it is played on the guitar or piano or flute.
My 12 year-old daughter started to learn to play the flute only a few months ago. She practices daily. She plays the music that she got from her school and looks up some sheet music with an easy melody line to play. She's doing pretty well!!

Funny that you mention playing video games. My daughter does play games on the internet and lots of it. I wish that she wouldn't spend so much time doing that. But the internet is where she has found some music that she plays on the flute. She found something from the movie "Harry Potter". She also listens to music on youtube and has listened to some pretty awesome stuff. She'll even have me to look up some of the music videos.

That's what I'm thinking too, to look for online video on youtube for flute tutorial. There are lots of it there. I use to try playing flute too, but it's a bamboo flute and I don't like the sound so I quit it. I'm currently practicing to play guitar but I'm also interested to play violin and drum set. :)

I was never a wind-instrument person. I guess there's just really something wrong with my breathing because I don't do well either with swimming and singing! hehehhe.. I guess anything that needs some breathing doesn't work for me.
Or perhaps I don't have practice or exercises for breathing.
Anyhow, I'm never fond of them but I could still change my mind someday.
I'm more of the keyboard and guitar person though. I can do a lot of good things with my fingers I guess.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well glad to hear about your passion for playing flute and i think u should forget what your friends are saying and continue with playing flute. The guitars, keyboards and all might be in fashion but no body can beat a flute in terms of its purity of music. I think u can get many videos from the internet using which u can learn new things in playing flute and i hope u do not require any guidance for that.

flute is one of the muical intruments used by musicians...i lik to hear n play too...bt i dono to operate flute ...so i jus whistle n get the feeling of playing in flute...n i like flute musics very much:)
