Fake facebook profiles

I can not be bothered with all the things that people do and say on face book.You are right that there are a lot of people on face book that have made up other peoples names, profiles and these are people that are on face book for one reason and that is to upset other people. I do not hardly go on there any more, as face book causes so much trouble, as well as arguments.

It i hard to distinguish which is fake and which are not because some profiles would really appear real because of being actively online and providing similar pictures of the account owner. But if you know any body who might be using the name of your friend , you can always report it to them. I once created an account for my former job so that it would be easier for us to get agents. It was actually under my real name but I introduced myself as working for that company. However, when my boss and I had some misunderstanding, he used that account to destroy my credibility. He even hacked my personal account just so he could make people go against me. Terrible things were posted on the walls. I got so insanely mad about it coz I had to deal with it for more than a month. But I did not stop from reporting it to Facebook. So now, it has been deleted.

i think it is just about the risk of what internet sites are. people can create as much as the system will allow. :D there is no way it can be regulated, right? i mean how can that be done when people have right to register, etc.. and we really cannot force anyone, or any sites to be strict with that...

Well yes u are absolutely right, i am also annoyed looking at so many fake facebook profiles who are creating a mess and nuisance for all of us by either posting objectional or spammed items. I do not know what is know with this site as nothing is being done to filter out such fake profiles. I think its high time that strict action is taken for making such profiles on FB. What say?

The amount of things you can do on the internet is limitless. In order to prevent creation of fake facebook profiles, the company needs a detailed information on all the people in the world and I think that it is not very plausible. So I think there's not much that facebook can do about this. I don't know if you can file a complaint on facebook to enable them to delete the fake account but even after doing that, there will still be no stopping other people from doing fake accounts or profiles.
