Almost Over

Not to get off on a rant or a sad Sally, but 2012 has been unkind to me. I'm glad that towards the end of the year I had some good things happen to me. (MyLot) And a lot of not-so-good things happen (got fired, yelled at, drank too much, got a job, got fired from that job, fighting and yelling more, being sued by creditors.) I want to start fresh, anew, and revitalized. While the year is almost over, I'm so looking forward to 2013. First mission, don't start off on the wrong foot like I did with 2012. I'm going to turn all of my negatives into a positive. I'm going to continue to fight back for what's important of mine. I'm not going to give up. I'm going to bite my tongue if I ever get into any kind of cross hairs with people (including family and my significant other) I'm not going to throw in the towel when something seems hopeless that I'm too lazy or tired to even consider trying. Most of all, I'm going to stop complaining. Because things could be worse. God help me.

Goodluck. Let's pray that 2013 has more opporunities for you and for everybody. We have to be positive at all times. You're right. It's not good to complain all the time because it can get things worse. Do your best because that's for your own good and for your own future. Happy mylotting.

Let us all be positive-thinking and learn to accept things as part of life and living. I agree with you Angel.

Yeah. We should learn to accept things and just go on living. Life has ups and downs. We should strive hard and be optimistic. We shouldn't let these trials in life defeat us. Is there's a will, there's a way. Right? Thanks for the comment Cutie18f. Happy muylotting.

The most important thing is that you don't give. Life will always be a vicious cycle of ups and downs and nobody is exempted from that. So keep moving forward, maintain that positive attitude and never cease trusting God. Next year will be a great year for you, claim it cause it's already yours.

Yep, that's a good adage to follow: never give up or try and try again.

He will help you! Set a goal or goals so you can look forward and towards something that you can achieve. Sometimes the seasons of life can be hard, at least you can look back and see where you can grow, some people can't see past the nose on their face but you seem to be pretty well grounded and have some tenacity in your bones. Set you goals and dance when you make them reality.

Hey,Bluebell18~ I was just thinking. Instead of starting over in 2013,why not start changing now? It's one more extra month to get prepared for a new life. Resolution is important. But sometimes we don't have the courage and endurance to carry them out. So instead of saying,"I'm gonna start doing that tomorrow",let's start today. What do you say?

You should think positive in these coming year. Your sacrifices, hardships and difficulties in life has been over. You must set a plan my friend for you to be able to have a definite path in the next coming year. Pick up the pieces and start all over again. It is not yet too late for you.

It is hard to see the positive side when you have experienced so much bad stuff especially in one year, but the trick is to move forward, don't look back and as long as you can learn from it, then the year hasn't been wasted. People make new years resolutions, but I think why wait for New Years Day, the 1st of January to make a new years resolution, why not start today, or tomorrow. It doesn't have to be January 1st. You still have 38 days left approx of 2012. 38 days of things going right or things changing around. You sound resolute and affirmed, so make these last 38 days count.

I guess we all have our fair share of bad things that happened this year. But, in the end, I am still glad I'm still alive and my family is whole and I have someone who loves me. I think sometimes in life we go through so much pain that we'd like the year to just move forward faster. But perhaps we shouldn't wait for the next year to change our ways and start fresh. We are all given a new day of sunshine for us to start over. So, don't wait till the next year. Start now. Start today! Have a great mylot experience ahead!

I`m glad that you want to have a better year in 2013. But I would suggest you try to start out right now, to see how will you feel with this change. I have discovered in these last years the importance of a month, a day, an hour. And I try my best not to procrastinate and leave for tomorrow what I can start today. THe only thing I`m sure about is the present.

I agree with you that it is a good thing that 2012 is coming to a close as this year really hasn't been a good year for our family either. We've had to deal with the end of my husband's cancer treatment (the cancer hasn't come back, thank goodness), financial difficulties and my husband going through addiction issues that almost caused the two of us to split. It is my hope that in 2013 things are going to be better for us. I'm hoping we can get out of our mountain of debt, spend more time together and also have a chance to get away from home for a period of time.

Hi Blue! I am also so looking forward to 2013. For me, 2012 was not also a good year for many reasons. I hope the incoming year will be a lot better. I hope too that things will be better for you, no more getting fired and no more being yelled at. Cheers!

Hi Bluebell, good for you...I think we all go throught somethings in our lives...the only thing I can say it that you are on the right track by comprising that positive spirit with with your positive actions. We need to look at that glass as half full instead of half empty.. I'll bet when you look back on those not so great times in 2012, there are a lot of different actions you could have taken to make some of your issues much better...It scary sometimes to think that we are our worst enemy.. Hang in there because there is ALWAY some one doing worst than you and thats a fact...LOL.. Good Luck!!!!

That's it! Don't let the monsters of your yesterday affect your tomorrow. Together with God's help you can do it! I salute you for planning a change. Not all people are brave enough to change their attitued. Usually, we just blame our circumstances, economy, government, family on whatever bad thing is happening to us. Change starts from within us. I know you can do it. You have a plan and you have the determination to make it this 2013. Few more days to go and your off to success.

Weeeww.. that is sure a lot of negative for 2012. All of us has bad experiences, including me..the worst was when our house got burned (see my past created discussion). Everyone of us for sure has some good and bad experiences for the year 2012. One thing we can do is cherished the positive and enjoy it, while stand up and keep moving forward for our negative ones. Life is never ending journey that we cannot control. It is up to us on how to handle it and learn from it.
