Sadie hound's favorette enemy is the dreaded fox. This family of foxes live at the end of a large field on the creak bank. Each time we let her out to run we make sure no foxes are visable. So yesterday after seeing the fox from the house, her run was delayed for a couple of hours. I then took Sadie out and after careful
scan of the field released her to run. All went well, until Sadie returned to the porch. Still no fox in sight, then she gave it one more glance just befor she entered the door to the house. Sure enough that sly fox thought it was safe and came out of it's hole. Sadie was off like a shot, I called her back, clicked her collar all to not avail, she was gone, down the hole and into the creek. It took me
half an hour to get her back. I love how she returned, was she guilty, no way, she was "what's the fuss all about? Mom" I'm very glad she met no sknuks, didn't get in the mud, and wasn't soaked when she returned. I'm sure the fox was sitting somewhere close laughing. That's the way Foxes are. Much thanks given for that happy ending.

Hopefully the fox learned its lesson.
We had a 5 o'clock fox. It crossed the road every day until someone hit it with a car. Too bad. Beautiful fox.

That fox ain't going to laugh for long. I'm sure Sadie will catch her tail one day!
I don't know how foxes are in your area but me, I wouldn't let Binne chase a fox.
Over here foxes carry the biggest rabies danger. Plus they are walking bags of fleas.
We met foxes twice during our hikes in the woods. Both times I made sure Binne stays next to me until the 'danger' disappeared. Binne has her anti-rabies vaccines up to date, but I still don't want to take any risk.
