Not everyone is happy with what they have in life. Granted, not everyone alive ever will be happy. But why have those who will cut you down and use you in your life? No one should believe they will be given their every heart's desire throughout their life. You want a new cell phone, that is fine, pay your bills and everything else that is due before you get it! There are many ways to be happy with your life and with those who are around you. Keep in mind and in your heart the things that matter the most. It is not money. It is those who take care of you, as you take care of them. Those who love you and return that love to you. People who know your rich will only use you for your money. When you need their help, they will not be their for you if all they care about and love is money. What would people do if money came to be no more?

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and i asked my hubby what he was thankful for and he said everything he has in his life and i said the same. See we have very little money no expensive clothes no rich fancy food or a mansion house but we are happy to have the little money the clothes roof over our head and food because we have it so much better than some people in life and we could also have it alot worse. We may not see family everyday and my family live 1200 miles from us or most do and his family lives 2 hrs from us but we are thankful for family as well because we are close to our family and talk to our family as often as we can and see them often too.

For Thanksgiving, though no one asked me, I am thankful for each day of life, for those who care for me, for having what I need to make it every month. More people need to happy not with expensive items or having lots of money but be happy with those who are in your life and having food and clothes.

the secret to be happy is to be contented with what you have. i strongly agree with what you've said. the best things in life are free. meaning, you need not to buy those things. they're free. love, can't be bought by money. friendship as well does not require you to pay bills. there are so many things that if we only realize their true value and essence, that would be enough to make us happy for the rest of our lives.

Hi desertrose!
I would like to say that the moment I opened my eyes in the morning, I am already thankful for a new day. A new day for me to do the things I have to do. I may not have everything that I want in my life as of now but I know there is a perfect time to have them. What is important this time is that we have our family with us and we are of good health.
Have a nice day!

Your view is really good and inspiring. It has a good message too. Sad to say, most people nowadays, care for money. For them, if you don't have money you are nothing. It's a pity for them they don't realize that they are slaves of money already. Hope they will realize their mistakes. Sometimes it surprised me what money can do to them. They will do everything just for money. There are no principles of life already and planting righteousness perishes if one does not have money. It's really very disappointing of some people who love money much.
Thanks for sharing this.

I am happy and contented for what I have now. I am lucky to have my family whose very supportive to me. Nobody can used anyone if nobody allow it to happen to them. Being happy is something that comes and goes for us. It is the excitement, fun, moments and material things we have. But contentment is something that lasts. It's about going with the flow, appreciating nature and life. Selfish people strive to be happy and are less content.

thanks for those words of wisdom, actually you are people tend to think that one to have complete happiness is having more money but that is not true because the richer you become the more worried you are and the more mouths to feed, so be contented with the little you have got.

I also think we should not take everything we have in life for granted, especially the ones closest too us, no one knows what's around the corner, so we have to appreciate our friends and our family and truly thank them, not wait for Christmas to show our love through a gift, but today, today is important. My ethic is that I live for today, not tomorrow, a wise sage once said to me, live today as if it's your last and it's true. Money cannot bring back loved ones.

In reality it is harder to accept situatuon we are in. Most of us perhaps feel unsatisfied with poor financial condition.

It is a matter of being contented on what you have ,on what you are and on what you live.In that you can be happy even if you are not that rich and can't afford everything.

For me, happiness is a matter of choice. We will never have everything that we want in this world, and each one of us have our own definitions of what happiness is, but it's all a matter of choice. If we want a certain cellphone but we can only afford an older model, we can either choose to be happy and thankful that we still have a new phone or we can be resentful with what we can only afford, for example. I know some people who doesn't seem to get any happiness from the people around them because they have super high expectations from them. So whenever they fall short of their standards, they feel so disappointed and upset regardless of the fact that the result isn't even bad to begin with.

yes certainly agree, no one can make us happier than the people who are seated beside us. Eat on the same table with us. Breathe in same air with us. Money is just use to make it happend. No money that will be a problem, too.
