six pack abs !!!

hi guys, what this the whole craze about 6-pack abs. I do not understand. do guys prefer abs over normal belly. there is this guy in office who has abs and some girls would keep asking him to show it when we go to have coffee in cafeteria and also like to touch his belly. I asked my girl and she said she likes a normal( kind of flat) belly. with little amount of flesh on it. I do not know if she said that to keep me happy, may be when some 1 loves you, likes everything about you. what do other girls think and feel?

Personally, i don't mind people who have a good built/physique as long as he is confident with his body and he is not intimidated to it. In fact, in the fashion industry, they are not only hiring men with muscular body but also other male models with different body type, the common is Thinspo. (skinny) model, they more prefer this because this is a trend on the fashion industry. Fashion designers prefers to hire such models because they can fit in different clothes such as androgynous clothing.

thanks for responding and yes, its fine with me too if people like to have abs. i was trying to know if girls are really crazy about them. i personally never felt the need, because I like my flat and soft belly. I thought some girls may en light me about this, and share their personal views

You are very much welcome, well i don't think Women's ego go thrilled with Men's abs because what's important is the "face value" because that's the only physical attributes that turns a person on or off. Just my opinion about the subject. :D

umh...i don't mind if my bf doesn't have 6 pack abs, but i really don't like a man who is so fat or so thin, that's all.
of course with a man who has muscles, woman will feel that he is strong and can protect her. it is just feeling. however if you don't have nice muscles or 6 pack abs, it is not a big problem, when we are in love, we will love all from our lover.

thanks for replying. but would you prefer your boyfriend to have 6 abs and muscular body. thin guys naturally have abs, but I am speaking of guys who work out for abs..

If it makes you feel good about yourself, then why not? I think most people tone their bodies, some even prefer being muscular (both men and women) because they feel good about it. I wouldn't mind having a 6-pack abs. For me, it shows that I take care of my body, and I want it to look good. But I guess this is the gist of all this. We all have different likes and dislikes. Like some girls go gaga over men with abs, others prefer toned ones, and there are even those that like men with a love handles.
