Things I'm Thankful For or Why do bad things happen to good people

During this past Thanksgiving week my friends (the come over for a cup of coffee type) and I play this “What I’m thankful for” game. It was fun but there is one thing I will never share with them: I suffered a series of tiny strokes starting in about 2008 thru Sept. 2012. The good news is I am now healthy enough no one sees the effects and my close family sometimes forget my limitations.
I ask you is this a “bad thing happening to a good person”? Or is it something more? I’ll spare you the details except to say I can no longer be employed. People would and have been very impatient with my lack of the average persons speed. I feel like going back to my former employers and telling them I wasn’t becoming lazy or incapable! I didn’t know I was having strokes! They are under control now with medication and whatever you do, do not feel sorry for me! Thanks in advance!
During this past year I’ve begun to build my own business! It taps all my talents, some of which I didn’t know I had, and did it for under $1,000! The only things I can’t and shouldn’t do myself is Taxes, monkey with building and maintaining my website and try to be my own legal advisor. I already have my own tax accountant who is will to do this, and found a web designer in my own neighborhood. Next I have to find an attorney. But most of this I won’t have to do until I make enough money for Uncle Sam to say “pay us”.
I live with my husband in a large empty house so I use a bedroom for my office on the third floor and my shop is on the ground floor right next to the family room, laundry room and bathroom. What more does a person need!
Please forgive me for mentioning a creator but could this be his way to make me choose a different path in life? 2013 will tell me, one way or the other!
Happy holidays, one and all!

Yeah, sad to say most of the time 'bad things happen to good people'! Why it happened? Maybe for a purpose... Maybe to make us more stronger. Good people experience this because if it happens to the bad people, the result will be worst. Good people has good disposition and can do survive for the unfairness of life.

I think over time successful people learn to turn a disadvantage into an advantage. I hear the successful people shown on TV say sometimes disadvantages and down times can be the answer to success in some way or the other!
I believe as long as we have our health the world can be our "oyster".
