I have many reasons to travel to the warmer place, but I especially want to there because I don't have to bring a lot of heavy coats. That means to say my luggage will be lighter and it is much more convenient. I don't want my luggage is so full and I am unable to put some souvenirs inside.

I live in a place with a long winter and sometimes -20 - 30C - it is very dark during mid winter, but as we have snow, it makes it all a bit better. Everyone here has central heating or those with their own house has some other good heating too. During summer we have daylight 24 hours, so I wish we coud save some of it for winter.. I would like to go somewhere with more sunshine and stay there during the coldest and darkest period, but it is a long time since I could afford it. I am still hoping that my Internet work will result in a bit extra income. I have several projects going on...

Yes, we really need a good heating to survive in this climate. I hope you too find a solution - at least going to a warmer place during the worst winter..

That's so cold in your side. However, it feels comfortable to be indoors since you have central heating. We don't have it here and therefore it is quite suffering in winter.

LOL, you must be living in a city located in the north of China now. I am in Hebei province, which is rather cold. Though i am pretty happy compared to people in northeast, it is a torture for me to suffer coldness and haze. And i am dreaming to travel to Kunming now and then for that my dad told me the city was in spring all the year around. However, sometimes, an idea came to me. Maybe warm places are not as good as we expected. We might get uncomfortable more or less in such places.

No, actually I live in Guangzhou. It will be fun that we could exchange our living for some time. When I was little, I liked the snowy place. When I grow up, I find that I am scared of the cold temperature

Hey, it is surely an interesting idea. Maybe we can give it a shot someday. BTW, I am curious about the climate in Guangzhou.

I hate Winter even though Winters are mild where I live. We don`t have snow and it freezes for a couple of hours just before dawn for matbe 2 weeks at the most. But for that same reason we don`t have central heating. Maybe I wouldn`t be able to afford it anyway. So I long for warm weather. I try to escape from Winter every year for a couple of weeks and go to a warmer place. Last Winter I went for 2 weeks to the Caribbean with a friend. It was awesome! And you are right: our luggage doesn`t weight much and there`s room for souvenirs.

Wow, you are really a smart traveler. Traveling to warmer country is indeed travel light. No need to burden our luggage with heavy and bulky winter clothes. If you travel to countries who sell good luggage and bags, no need to bring luggage too. Reach the destination, buy souvenirs and put inside the new luggage that you just bought there too. Good idea :)

I never thought about those parts of traveling. These are great ideas. I would just like to go to somewhere exotic and different than I am used to being. I'd like to travel for a change of scenery, and maybe try some new foods, dances and languages.

Travelling in a warm place saves you from excess baggage is so true. I live in a tropical country and I've never experience snow in my entire life. I've been to Tokyo for my birthday this year but sadly it was summertime. Hopefully in the near future I can experience how cold it gets.

Ha my friend we are completely opposite here, now I would want to travel to a colder place, I don't like the heat at all, I find it far easier to warm up than cool down. I hate our Summers they are humid and I am heat sensitive, we are currently in the Winter months which is great for me. If I had the money I would buy a place in a cold country to spend our Summers there and come back for the winter!

My fingers and feet are so cold in winter. So if I travel to the colder place, perhaps I will have to hibernate there

In 2004 I traveled to the Seychelles, a hot country situated in the Indian Ocean. I loved wearing my swimming costume, t-shirts and shorts. My luggage was fairly light and it needed to be. We traveled there changing planes in Kenya. Whilst there he hopped to three different islands. In 2005 I traveled to the Maldives and again I took light clothing ideal for its hot climate. I had a sarong and it folded up tiny in my luggage. Then in 2006 I visited Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. It was my best trip in all my travels ever. Wow! In 2011 we traveled to the coastline of Colombia and it was a time for delayed and lost luggage. I always like to bring back souvenirs like costume dolls, fridge magnets and post cards.

So, where would you go that you have in mind? I just went to California, a warm place as I remember, the temperature is around 70 - 75 degrees daily, full of sunshine though. But my trip wasn't that pleasant since my friend and I have so many disagreement. So, where would you go, somewhere exotic, like Caribbean; or inland to South America?

I always travel to warmer places or in the summer, because when I have a holiday or a trip, I don't wanna freeze and feel that cold. But it's really useful because if the reason you mentioned. I hate it when I have 3 sweaters in a bag, and it's so full that I can't even put my beauty bag in... not to talk about the souvenirs.

Good for you. You have a choice whether to go to cold or warm countries. I only have one choice that is to go to warm countries. This is as far as my passport can take me.
