Falling rain helps me fall asleep!

yes, i like the little sound of chatting/talking two people. I like to hear them and it helps me fall asleep quite deep. It is like a rhythm to me and I find it fascinating.

The rain has the same effect on me, as long as it is a steady light beat. the harder the rain the more difficult for me in falling asleep. I like also a nice rhythmic buzz like te razor from a barber shop. It seems like whenever I have that buzz or I am getting my hair cut I just start to doze off. What keeps me awake is strong blowing wind and heavey rain. I don't like that at all.

I love it when it rains. I love the cold weather and the serenity the rain gives to my surroundings. But, when it rains too hard and for many days that also brings me sadness thinking other part of my country that may suffer floods and landslides.

I don't think it's a sound that would make me fall asleep. If it comes to that I need darkness way more and silence. As I read the title of your discussion my first thoughed was: strange.. the sound of water makes one run to the toilet! That is how we little kids make use the toilet by letting the tap dripping.. my next thought was.. if it's raining I want to sleep too. But it's not because of the sound but because it's all grey and dark, less sun plus cold. So the only thing you want is to get into a warm bed and sleep.

I also sleep very well when rain falls here... unless its windy as well. Have a great weekend there.

Hi friend! Yes I like it when it's raining since I can sleep sounder. I like the sound of the rain falling on the rooftop. The hushing sound is like a lullaby to me. I lay down on my bed, listen to the rain, and after a few minutes I'm fast asleep. I love it so much. When I'm not home and it's raining I wish it would rain again during my sleep. Love it!

There's something snug and cosy about being wrapped up warm when it's raining outside and I think it's the regular beat of the rain hitting the ground or the trees that has a rhythmic sound that can invoke us to sleep. For me I need absolute silence in order to sleep, if I hear a single noise my brain stays alert wondering what it is.

I also love sleeping while it's raining if its a gentle rain. Its nice and dreary so without too much light its easier to fall asleep, and the rain is like a lullaby.

That is a very relaxing sound. It's called white noise. You can purchase clock radios that have settings for white noise. It's very calming and helps many to relax and fall asleep.

It is nice to hear the rain, but I sleep anytime, anywhere.

Well i can understand your situation as i too get quick sleep when it rains not because of the sound that is created but due to the awesome weather created due to rains. I love to relax and feel the weather especially when it rains and i do not know why i get quick sleep when it rains. I do not like any kind of sound when i am sleeping. I was utter silence and peace when i am on bed. ha ha ha. What say?

The sound of raindrops have the same effect on me. It lulls me to sleep and calms me down. Aside from that, the sound of wind chimes, trickling brook or river and the music box version of some lullabies make me sleepy.

i think its not u only feel like that, i was like that to. when day is rainy, i just feel so lazy to do any work. just thinking of my bed.

Yeah sound of rain really makes us to feel asleep. I like when rain come not only cold it's sound also make us feel relax. Sometime a sound of music or sound from television also help me to sleep. :)

hi there besweet, most of the time, i do loved to hear the sound that comes from a falling rain. as this gives me a soothe feeling. however, if the falling rain seems to get hard, that is the time that i don't want to hear it. as i don't want the streets to become flooded that a strong rain may bring. anyway, it is really amiable to sleep when it is raining since the weather becomes colder as the rain pours.

Ya .Same effect on me also.When it rains I will sleep early and I will get sleep early.If it rains whether will be cool and atmosphere will be calm.I am afraid of thunder.If it is with thunder means then i will sleep near grand ma:)
