Well, it is official the holiday season is upon us! Thanksgiving is over making way for the Christmas season. All the channels are advertising there holiday specials for the Christmas season. This led me to ponder, which holiday movies will you watch this month. Which movies are your cannot miss favorites of the season? I would say mine would be Sound of Music. It is always aired in the month of December. I may watch a couple others. It just depends. I do like the Santa Claus movies with Tim Allen. Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer is always a classic. How about you? Which movies do you plan to watch this Holiday season?

I actually watched a classic on Thanksgiving, The March of the Wooden Soldiers. And I also like the classic animated christmas movies like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and Santa Claus is coming to town.

inertia, I have not seen Santa Claus is Coming to Town for several years. I have to admit that Rudolph is a classic. I remember watching it last year. Frosty was on Friday, but I did not watch it. That is another of those classic animated Christmas movies. Happy Holiday!

I used to have them all on DVD but the evil ex took all that and some of my CD's as well. I can find them online if I want and download them. So it is no big deal. But I grew up watching them.

I have always loved "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart this time of year. I also really like "White Christmas" with Bing Cosby. There are very few holiday movies that meet the intelligence that went into creating these two films these days. I do admit though that I love the Santa Claus movies with Tim Allen. He is always so funny. I would love to watch any of these, but it's doubtful they will be aired on either of the channels we get.

I agree that the timeless classics are always best. I would say my favorite of the Christmas Classics is the original Miracle on 31st Street. I have not seen the other two movies that you mentioned, but I am sure that they are classics. I am missing Netflix, but I cancelled it due to needing to make some cutbacks on extra expenditures. I just could not afford it. Well, I am not sure if you get the ABC channel, but there is a chance that they will aire the Santa Claus movies since they are affliated with Disney. I only get the basic channels myself as I refuse to pay extra money for cable.

Yes, I enjoy the movie "Miracle on 34th Street" as well. We get three channels NBC, PBS and ABC. We have rabbit ears, which is very helpful. I've thought about getting Netflix, but that one will have to wait as well. If you get the chance, check out the classics I mentioned. You will be able to find them at Walmart this holiday season.

I used to be a movie addict. When I think of movies, my mind flies back to thos years. For Christmas time, my favorite has all along been "White Christmas". The movie is so beautiful, and so is the music.

Yes, it is easy to be a movie addict. Well, I will have to check that one out when I have funds to reactivate Netflix account. Happy Holidays!

I don't really have a tradition of watching a certain movie at Christmas. I do not really watch specific holiday movies, either... well, for a while, it's been Love actually, but I've seen that so many times it became boring for me. Maybe Bridget Jones, the first one, I'm gonna watch this year, but other than that, I've no clue.

doroffee, I have never seen either of those movies. Are they romace type movies? I would say my all time favorite Romance type story movie that I love to rw-watch is Pride and Prejudice the BBC version. It is a classic that I love to watch. I also really love watching the movie Something Has Got to Give but it got lost somehow.
