Well, let's face it in life there is one thing that no matter how hard we try we just cannot avoid is house cleaning. That is unless you are rich enough to have a maid or clearning service. The only other option is if you live at the White House, but then again I hear the First Lady insists upon the girls being responsible for making thier own beds.
As I am striving to adopt new habits in life, I am learning you can either work harder or smarter. Well I've tried working harder, and generally only find myself spinning my wheels, and getting exhausted as I make little to no progress, so the only option left is to work smarter.
I have learned a few tricks for cleaning that help me to work smarter rather than harder at the chore of cleaning. I will share my tips and hopefully everyone else will share their secrets too for clearning that makes it easier to clearn the house in less time. Then, we can all get a jump start on spring cleaning. Okay, how about more time to spend online with our myLot friends!
1. Baking soda and vinegar makes cleaning the oven pretty simple if you are not fortunate enough to have a self cleaning oven. Just mix up a solution of baking soda and water in a bucket. Sponge on and wipe off. It took a few time of putting the solution on and letting it eat off the grime that had accumulated since I had been dreading clearning the oven, but it did work pretty good. Just make sure to wipe with a clean wet sponge to remove all the residue.
2) Cleaning stubborn pots and pans. I had this one pan with stuff stuck on it. No matter how much I soaked it just would not loosen enough to be scrubbed off. I was out of SOS pads. Recalling that baking soda helps to scour pots and pans. That still did not loose it up. So, I had the pan all scoured with baking soda that had turned into paste because the sponge was wet. I pour vinegar directly onto the pan. The viegar ate it right off. Then, it was simple to just wipe the pan with the sponge.
I am hoping that you have some more tips that you can share. I am always trying to find easier ways that will cut my cleaning time in half.

Thanks for sharing these tips. I know about using the baking soda for cleaning the oven. But I laughed at myself because I am reminded of how I had used baking soda and apple cider years ago for exfoliating my face.

I would have never thought to use baking soda and vinegar to exfoliate your face.
