You can't copy and paste into mylot at the moment, but once you have 500 points, you will be able to. At the moment, I think you can paste a small number of characters in at a time. This restriction applies even to editing within mylot.

mylot is a sort of shared blog, isn't it? I said 500 points, not 500 words. At the moment (11:55 London Time on 28/11/12) you have 207 points and I have 756. That is why I can type my posts in MSWord, etc, copy and paste into mylot and you cannot, except for a few characters at a time (useful if you're putting in URLs/Links). When you reach 500, you will be able to paste properly. mylot do this in order to get rid of any spammers and pagiarizers who aren't determined to keep at typing in posts until they reach 500 so they can then spam/plagiarize (which they won't be able to do for long - Alice and Alex get them, either on their own or, occasionally, with inadvertent or advertent help from us). Other blog sites may have different rules on pasting and some may have none at all. Most of the time, incidentally, I don't bother to do in Word and then paste, I type straight in.

Copying your OWN content is not a problem. It's only an issue if you are copying and pasting from other sites. This should work out with no problem. The only thing you should watch out for is that your formatting is the same after putting it on blogger.

Therefore, it should not be a problem! A lot of bloggers do this so that they can spend more time on creating quality posts.

Sometimes when I feel that my contents over my blog is not ready yet to be published and needs some tweaking, I usually put it in MS Word and store it over my computer. It’s okay to put your content first on word because you can work on it even if its offline and then if you are ready to publish it you just need to copy and paste it. However, you need to adjust the font and the font size because usually it messes up when you copy and preview it because the font doesn’t matched your blog font so it’s best once you paste it to edit the font size and font style to the desired blog font and size of your blog. It’s okay to copy and paste your contents of your blog from word to blog post as long as you are putting legit and original non-copied contents over your post, you are good to go.

Hello :) I do the very same thing. I usually write stuffs on MS word first, because some sites have this "end session", or in case of emergencies like accidentally close browser, browser crash and especially blackout! :) It's out of your control and when you're in the middle of writing, it's a very annoying incident. LOL :) So I believe it would be nice to furnish your writings on MS Word, and eventually when you paste them to your "writing sites", you can just correct/add up/expand when you come up to new ideas. I believe copying original content of yours is never harmful :) Good luck on your writings!

on blogger contents are auto saved so you will never wast your hard work by writing contents directly on blogger. Don't publish your blog untill you make your contents perfect for People.

I dont know for sure, but I would ask and make sure before you are banned or something. I dont see why not, but then again they dont know if you have copied it from a site, or from the document.
