This morning, i am watching news on television. there are discussion about this girl just about two months knew facebook. As we know, if newbie at facebook, always find new friends, from a round the world. In her case, she just know this man, with his sweet talking to her, try to enticement her, and that's works. He said to her, will give two million to her cash if she meet him. So, with no hunch, she met him. For now, she still don't want to tell the hall story in that 13 days kidnap. Her mother did'not know anything about facebook or her facebook friends and she did'not tell open mind with her mother. Then, who's fold for this case? do you always open mind with your daughter? is your daughter always sharing with you?

facebook and other social networking sites are very dangerous to kids. There are lots of news back home about facebook users. One facebook user met her friend, and ended up gang raped. Another boy met his friend, and ended up a victim of robbery. Another one kidnapping like you told. so parents must be vigilant to the activities of their kids and keep on reminding them to be so careful and not just to meet strangers.
I don't have a daughter so I dont know I hope she won't.

Oh that's horrible, this is a huge lesson for the parents, don't let your child expose to any social networking site if your child is underage. Children is easily to entice and please monitor especially your daughter because of various risk. Thanks for this information. :)

yes its horrible , parents should take all the necessary precautions to save their children from all these , but what about those who doesn't know anything about such things and their children simply wont share with them. I think schools should take a step forward to teach children about the happenings .In this way atleast children may be saved from such traps.

I feel sorry for the girl, if this is true. How old is the girl anyway, as you have said she's still in the elementary school. So her age is almost 12 years old if I'm correct.
I also thought that an elementary student could not meet this guy just because he offered her two million in cash, maybe there's something that this guy had told her. It's just a thought, anyway this proves that parents should look after their children especially if they are using FB.

I somehow know what my kids are doing when they use the net. I just allow them to use my laptop. But if I am using it, then they can use the other laptop but they have to be beside me. My kids would not fall for those kind of things coz they just mostly play online with their friends. ANd if they do chat, it would be about their homeworks or planning to have fun on a weekend. They do not add people whom they do not know.

my nine year old daughter already has her own facebook account. but i see to it that i know all her friends and screens all her messages. she doesn't know the password. she has to call my attention everytime she wants to open her account. in this way, i can see first hand all the notifications that are coming in.

this is so alarming, any young girls who engaged to Facebook or any social networking site should be monitored by the parents. in the case of the girl, does her parents did not call the authorities or reported after their daughter was lost? well I think the parents should be very responsible for their daughter since they didn't know what does the young girl do in the computer.

When i saw the news, there are kids protection side. i don't know the hall story, but wheni saw the news, the kids already founded, and speak with the mask. She sit beside her mother. The mother said to reporter that when the girl playing fb, the mother sleeping. And i thing this is just her reason to close her fold.

Every one knows that face book, as well as other sites can be so dangerous, also a child on the internet of any age should be watched.
I feel that there are lots of parents that do not know what their children are getting up to, as well as never pick them up on the things that they should not be doing.
It is a shame that there are people like this in the world that do harm to others, but people do make it easy for them.

ohh so sad, the girl was innocent and fell into the trap. But she should open with with her mother atleast . she may be afraid as her mother may not understand her may be that's why she is not saying anything to her. God knows what would have happened. No body can do anything if she doesn't open up.

I think the parents should have the responsibility to look after their daughter's activity. Of course, their daughter is too young and she was easily been fooled by someone. She's innocent and those kinds are the main targets of gangs and ill mannered human being. The parent should always be attached with their daughter and should know all her activity.

WOW WHAT a scary story! i know cases like guys put handsome face then ask to meet the girl they just found then later on something happen. it is every hard to prevent these kind of cases happening and this is really dangerous. well even for me i had never tell anyone about facebook friends or activity i did online because i think that is my privacy but i think for some cases young peoples' facebook activities should be watched by the adults or parents to prevent the young mix up with bad habit or wrong people.

I don't know what to feel. I feel sad about the story... It's so disturbing that some bad people are using FaceBook to ruin someones' life. I blame not the FB nor the 13-year old girl and not definitely the parents. It is one of the case of trusting the devil himself. The girl is still such an innocent one, she never thought that the world has people with devious plan!!!
