It has been very miserable to think on the part of all the victims on this Aman Futures investments scam who swindled approximately 12 billion Pesos coming from different investors at Pagadian City. This beautiful city of Pagadian where i am actually raised and originated is a progressive and peaceful city that located in the Southern Part of Mindanao. However, the serenity of the place was agitated by a Malaysian swindler who promised and guaranteed high interest rates of 60 to 80 percent covered within 15 to 30 days from your capital investment. On first three months of operation, they eventually proved their promised interest rates. They also increased their marketing to the regular government employees and most of them are from City Hall, Policeman, Fireman, BJMP etc.
The named of the company vastly popularized not only the city of Pagadian but the whole province of Zamboanga del Sur. Dur to its higher percentage rates, almost all the people encouraged to engaged investing wherein, they compel to sold their valuable wealth that they inherited from their ancient folks just to put as investment. The cruel thing here that disappointed me a lot is that my relatives itself was one of the victims of the said scam. Beforehand, I received a call from my relatives/family and encourage me then to incorporate our money for it is profited high interests. Upon my careful evaluation relative to the percentage given, i find myself unconvinced bcoz i strongly believe that it was a lucid PROFIT SHARING. To make a story short, i immediately warned them not to engage on the said investment for i am ascertain that it is a clear scam.
After two months later, many investors were complaining against AMAN Futures for they didn't yet receive any interests coming from their invested money. And as the day's passes by, complaints has been likewise increasing. Unfortunately, all their claims still remain unanswerable until to date as the swindler itself is enjoying the scammed money for their lust. With this, thousand of complaints lodged before the NBI and CIDG against AMAN Futures owner and other officials but every thing seems too late. Another alarming reports disclosed that crimes of Pagadian City increasing its rate due to the said incidence. Thus, my humble question which direct to all concerns, can we blame the victims to engage and undergone illegal activities for them to recover their losses? What exactly the government position relative to this issue? And how to circumvent and deter the increasing rate of crimes in the City?

Exactly, to blame them of what happen cannot help alleviate their worries regarding of what happen. Negligence is already there - however, if the assurance of security of the investment has been laid by the municipal office would you not be interested to put your money for investment?...The victims were not only those people who have less-knowledge in scamming but almost all businessman, police officers, fire Marshall, BJMP's and other government offices were all victims as well. And why is should happen? it this because they were not looking forward to the possible effect on this through their negligence? or because they were all confident that the said investing company are legitimate and stable because it was publicly endorsed by the municipal officers. One thing for sure, there is a secret story behind of those occurrences and those who have knowledge about the reality of everything are the officers of the company and the head of office in the city municipal office. Lots of factors to consider but what we have think of were merely speculation unless it is proven with documented reports and evidences.

This is just my opinion, but I think both the victims and the scammers are to be blamed. The scammers of course first and foremost because they have nothing but bad intentions and malicious thoughts from the very beginning. They don't have ethics, even the heart to realize that these people are honest, hardworking individuals who are breadwinners, who have kids in schools, loved ones needing medical care, and have dreams that they have been working on for the most part of their lives. I think they deserve the heaviest punishment legally and in God's eyes because they simply take advantage of the weak for their own greedy and selfish reasons.
On the part of the victims, it is their responsibility to verify the legality of existence of where they invest their hard earned money. The mere fact that they were not issued an Official Receipt that is registered with the BIR the first time they gave their money should be a big red flag already and at this point they should have start investigating. Also, it is the get rich quick thing that they fail to recognize the value of hardwork is what guarantees financial success, actually it is hardwork plus "diskarte" or business technique. Of course these won't guarantee that they will be millionaires but it will bring them some revenue that are not bad to begin with. There will be no scammers if people will not let themselves be scammed, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me and this isn't the first time that we heard of investments scams that practically have similar MOs.
All in all, my sympathy is still on the part of the victims, especially the teachers because my mom is a teacher herself and I know how hard it is for them to earn a living. It is no easy job, and being a teacher's kid, I know how hard it is to make ends meet especially back when my mom was just starting.
I hope the victims get justice that the deserve. And I hope that our laws have more strength to deter would be scammers, or just even a more established system that can easily detect such incidences before it fully victimizes a lot of people.

Thank you for sharing your opinion Raine38, appreciated a lot. You have a point Raine38 and i definitely concurred to it. However, in some point of time or another the said scammed was then widely established in the city and not merely derive on the fact that many people has been abruptly convinced and engaged it immediately sans proper verification has been done herein, but simply because it was trustfully and confidently endorsed by some reputable public officials by the people itself coupled with the promise of high interest rate. In such cases like that, if you are on their shoes do you not intent do put your money for investment? wherein, the person who are endorsing it was the government officials itself, and some of them are those known riches businessman in the city. Would you believe they will not think of the possibility that it is a scam or not as same goes on what you are telling above?
My focal point here direct to the rectification of the issue. If we stick stagnantly to a point that we put everybody to blame, it's either the victims itself or scammers then, it seems that we drag them into the total disappointments rather than helping them uplift and encourage to pursue their life notwithstanding of what happen to their money. Blame has no room on this particular issue, even if how constantly you blame them it doesn't help though.
Thus, we moved forward to realization on how this will be certainly rectified or even addressed not only to the high authorities in our government but of course to our participation as well. And what exactly our participation herein issue? well, if you carefully notice the power of high technology nowadays, every single events transpired could be possibly documented. We just need to utilize the power of this technilogy as an avenue to help our authorities to determine or even locate culprits and/or perpetrators not only on this issue but likewise to the entire events as a whole.
The law cannot properly executed without the help of the community. The five pillars of justice system could not be fully accomplished if one of these pillars is paralyze...Thus, the community itself plays an important role to determine the whereabouts of the culprits.. Thank you and have a nice day!
