It has been my dream since I was still young to experiment something that I could wear like using blankets as my gown and I have always imagined wearing a beautiful gown like all those fairy tales that I have seen in the movies. When I was in high school, my cousins would gave their used clothes that they don't want to wear anymore and since the sizes would not fit sometimes, what I usually do is to cut and sew the part that needs to be altered then viola! it turned to a beautiful piece. Nowadays, fashion has always been a trend especially to young people and even adult but mostly they are so dear! and it's very rare to find clothes that will fit to a petite lady like me and I am only 4 ' 11 and 27 years old (what!!!). They can be seen only to a specialty store which would cost me an arm and a leg. So I think it would be nice for me to learn how to sew using a machine (because I already know how to do manual sewing) and make dresses exactly of what I wanted to be.

Well, I think it is not to late. You still have time in your side as you are still young, In fact, nobody is old enough not to do what we want to do. What is important is that we have the will and determination to fulfill our goal and objective. So knows, you might become one of those sought after dress designer. My mother has a sewing machine at home and is quite good at using. There were even people who go to our house and ask her to make a dress or repair some damage dresses and jeans. But now, my mother is already old, and she no longer does sewing an entire dress but on some occasions, still do repair not for costumers but just for us in the family.

Thank you for this response. It somehow motivates me to dream bigger like being a popular designer or stylist, wow! and about your mother, I really appreciate people like her because they do know how to beautify people by just doing little adjustments on their clothes or making clothes that would suit them. Your family is lucky , that you have the chance to alter your clothes to make it beautiful.

Yes, we do have an advantage knowing that we can easily ask our mom to make repairs and perhaps make some adjustments in our clothes. She also knows how to crochet. During here prime, here crochet products were even bought by some foreigners. Well, reach out for your dream.. I am sure they are not impossible. A journey to thousand miles always starts with a single step. Good luck and best to you always!

I like dressing up. Makes me feel so happy. I also used to go get some of our blankets and pretend I am designing my own clothes. Haha! I want to learn how to make dresses too. That way, I can make my own dress and style it the way I want it to be.

I can relate to your blanket experiece because I have done it before. lol! Have you tried sewing your own dress before ? or maybe made repaired to them? . It is fun to do it and you can save money instead of going to malls to buy new piece of clothing. D you have idea where to enroll about sewing.

Having that kind of a dream and already have started doing little things such as the one's you mentioned is already a step to achieve what you wanted. It is never to late to learn/achieve something especially to those things that you desired while you were still young. And the thing about being 27? It's not too late, 27's still young and learning how to sew can be achieved by a matter of days. So just continue and who knows, you might become the next stylist/designer of most celebrities :).
