The only person I'm actually buying presents for is my 9 month old grandson. My older grandkids are getting $20 from me. I get a check once a month from SS and used some of that to buy my grandson some clothes. I also got $25 from one of my points earning sites in my Paypal account and used that to buy more clothes for him plus I picked up a toy a few weeks ago for him but he's not getting any more toys he has enough and his parents will undoubtedly buy him more to put under the tree. The money I give the grandkids will come out of next months check so I think it's going to work out ok! What are your holiday spending plans? Do you buy for a lot of people or just kids?

Sounds like you have things well covered.
Since we don't have kids, we won't be buying any gifts for Hanukkah. If we did, it would be one gift per night. I already know that I would want to start with a small gift on the first night and work our way up to a large gift on the final night--and all stuff that is connected with Judaism in some way.
I might send e-greetings to a couple of my closest friends for Christmas. However, I won't be giving them gifts.
I think we will also need to give a few small gifts to certain people for Christmas for the sake of social or business connections. For instance, we will likely give cookies or some such treat to the staff at my boyfriend's mother's nursing home.

That isn't how everyone does Hannukah, but that is the way I want for our family to do it. I never want for any kids we eventually have to think of the holiday as the "Jewish Christmas." It isn't.
I want for our kids to understand and appreciate each of our holidays. There are plenty to appreciate, too.

Aww such sweet of you. If I will be buying presents it is for everyone, from sisters to grandchildren. I will be buying a few tokens for my friends. and of course food for the holidays. So the budget must be really that well planned otherwise, my pocket will be empty on New Year's day.

I used swagbucks to get amazon gift cards and used those to get gifts for my parents. We're just getting a few small things for our son as he doesn't need anything right now. I am making hats for kids on our list and my family does a draw for the adults so I just need to get my uncle something and the things he has suggested won't cost much. I just need to get started.

I have to buy for everyone and it cost me loads each and every year.I love to see all their faces when they open all their gifts.
I save money all year and this year I have managed to save £1350.00 to spend, that is the most I have ever managed to save up and I have already got all the sweets for christmas, which is even better.
I have a list of all the things that people want me to get them and that makes it easier.

I shop for Christmas first and foremost for my own children and I'm nearly done shopping for the two of them, I just need to get a few more clothes for them to be completely done. My second priority is shopping for my three little nieces and I've gotten done shopping for them. My third priority is shopping for my mother, siblings and sister-in-law, I have several of them done and the final person that I shop for is my husband.
I started my Christmas shopping early and I've done the majority of it on Amazon with gift cards that I've earned online during the year. The other shopping that I've done has been mostly done with money that I've earned online. The complete amount that I've actually spent out of my husband's wages has been about one hundred dollars.

I buy for my daughters, son-in-laws, grandkids, and a couple of friends. I will also get my sister something this year too, not sure what yet. The kids come first though.
I'm almost done...just a few things yet which shouldn't take me long..yeh, right. I'll be getting my SS check in a couple of days so that will finish off the rest. I still have to get my tree too..geesh, does it ever end?

I try and buy for everyone in my family if I have the money. If I don't have the money then I just buy for my nieces and nephew. This year I'm able to buy 2 gifts for everyone because I better planned my shopping I started in October and I only have 2 people left to buy for so it makes me happy. Got 2 pay checks left so I think I'll be okay. I love this time of year even though it makes you broke but not very often you get to buy for other people.

I am only shopping for my niece and nephew. There are other kids in the family but we are sort of estranged from them. Not in bad terms, or anything.. just we don't see them very often though the live 8 minutes down the road.
I've already started my shopping for my niece and nephew as well. After cooking and eating on Thanksgiving, I went and did some shopping online (to stay safe from the crowds, lol) and so the first of the presents are on their way. I want to get atleast two more, though I think the next things will be a tad cheaper. I want them to have a big Christmas, and I've not been giving them great presents lately...
But I am also going to be giving them things that will help them have fun, away from video games.
