Well personally, and I'm not a 30+ year old woman, I'm a 21 year old woman and the only 30+ woman I know who likes Twilight is my 62 year old Mother (more on her later), I like Twilight for the story, not hot guys. I became a fan through reading the books, and I enjoy the movies too, but I like the books better. My Mother got into the series because I was into the series, and she's always stealing my books when she can tell I enjoy them. My Mom does not make comments about how "hot" the young actors are (that would be creepy! ) though she has admitted that she thinks they are pretty nice looking guys.
It's a series that I enjoy. I like the romance. I like how idealistic it is. I like the story! Other people like it for other reason. If you don't get it, then you don't get it, and that's okay. It's clearly not for everyone.
And I think pale skin is pretty attractive. It's light, airy, pure, and angelic. Once again, if you don't see it that way, then you don't see it that way. Everyone finds different features attractive.

I'm a little creeped out by older women drooling over young boys... Though I don't know any women like that personally.
I'd encourage you to read the rest of the books if you liked the first one. If you get through the second one and still don't feel attached to the series, then you probably won't get into it, and that's fine. Like I said before, it's not for everyone. I doubt anything actually is.

That's exactly what I am saying. It's gross to get all excited about these young guys, I mean to appreciate they are nice looking that's ok, but to have life sized posters in your room and scream like a teenager when one of them takes their shirt off. EEWWW!
You are right though not everything is for everyone.

Thanks for your response. I am glad your mother doesn't see the young guys as hot. I guess that's my thing I think that older women shouldn't be drooling over these young guys so publicly.
I have thought of reading the rest of the books to see if I liked them, I love to read.

Well I'm sure that those woman don't watch it purely for the men in it. Those actors just happen to be nice to look at for some people. We watch the Twilight films for the STORY. It is each to their own. What you enjoy, Twilight fans might not enjoy. They might even question your choice in film as you question ours.
I think the Twilight saga is fantastic.

I think you should also watch the rest of the movie. I only watch the first one and I wasn't also impressed but upon watching the second and third movie, i am now a fan of the story. I also love the book and prefer it than the movie. But even if I admire the actors that portray the characters, I still love it because of the story and not because of the hot actors alone.

I may end up at least reading the other books. My sister has them all so I should probably read them and just see if I get into it. I know people who are heavy into Harry Potter and I read all the books and still didn't see the big hype.

Thanks for that comment. I only hear people say how hot the actors are and have seen this new movie about 5 times since it came out because they are so hot. My sister went yesterday and the theater caught on fire and they were joking because the actors are so hot. LOL
But I just wanted to get some other input from people on these movies, maybe I should see the others, I saw the first one and just wasn't impressed and I read the first book and it was better than the movie.

ell Twilight is kind of some girly movie..I enjoyed its first three parts but the new series of breaking dawn is really out of point. And who's 30+ in this movie..;-; I think kristen Stewart played some teenager's role in the whole movie series, so didn't get your point :L

I mean the people who go to the movie to watch it are 30+ years old and get all excited over these young boys taking off their shirts. Maybe it's just me, I like to see a man's chest not a boys hairless chest. I like a man with some color in his skin not all pale and sickly looking.

Yes you are correct. I was just basically wanting to get some input from people who are not close to me to see what the big deal is all about. I appreciate your response.
