Hey friends ,we have 29 more days to go and it is Christmas . Are you excited with it ? What is Christmas for you then ? For me just so simple , Christmas is about giving something coming from our heart . Greetings and meetings friends and family from far and near. It's about waking up early to attend dawn masses. This is the very thing which made me excited about Christmas. It is so meaningful and solemn to attend a dawn mass. Your mind is fresh receiving words of God ,so nice to start the day with God. Though we are still so sleepy but the thought that this comes once in a year only , so feels excited . Also food are in abundance and irresistible and i don't know why it is so good and feels so nice to shop during Christmas when we know that all the people are in shopping mode , line in cashier so long also but we don't mind that , so long as we can join in the shopping mood of everyone. How about you friends ? What is Christmas for you ? Let me , us hear you.

Christmas for me is a time for me to spend with family and close friends. I do a lot of reflections on Christmas day as well and think of my resolutions as well. I go to mass as well on that day and then have lunch with my family. Last year I spent x-mas away from home and it was fun though, but still I missed my family a little bit.

It is so hard to celebrate Christmas alone , A Christmas is not a Christmas if the family is not there. Christmas is about a family , gathering together to celebrate Christ birth.

Babyeve , Christmas is the time of forgiving others and ourselves. Time to patch things , heal wounds , forgive and forget . I know it is not easy especially if the root is deep but nothing is impossible , in the spirit of Christmas let us be one .

Yes it is hard to celebrate Christmas, but I am so used to it. Plus my family is a bit of a complication at the moment. I will rather celebrate it alone one more time.

There are lots of good things about christmas, it's not just about exchanging gifts, receiving something, bonuses, 13th month pay. There is more than that, it is the joy in each family when they are together. The happy decorations in each of our house, the foods in the tables sharing with each other. And most specially to remember the day our lord's life has begun.

True Jez , Christmas is more than those gifts , lights , money and other bonuses , it is about family celebrating together. A family , united as one, making God as the center of the family and celebration.

Yes , yes a Christmas can't be Christmas if no plenty of foods in the dining table. It is about eating and eating , talking and laughing . I don't know we never get full during Christmas though we have already eaten much.

Christmas is a money grab, and Nothing Less. Even the Christian Church uses the Festible of Christmas for its own uses. The day after Thanksgiving I went grocery shopping at the local Grocery and was assailed with Christmas music the whole time.Christmas is an excuse to make money at the expense of those dreamers who are taken in by the religious fervor. Why did Jesus chase the money lenders from the Temple?

It is because it is a Holy place , and they are making it dirty . Christmas is celebrated by Catholics . It is our way of thanking that Christ was born. Christmas is not a money grab for us but it is more of giving and sharing . I am respecting your belief and practice. We live according to our principles and beliefs in life. Cheers friend !

Christmas is to reminds us that our Lord Jesus is born. The purpose of Him to redeem us and all the good news that He brings. However, Christmas today are so commercialise. It is about Christmas trees, shopping for gifts etc. It's good to share gifts and go visiting. To me normally I would spend my Christmas morning in the church and later go for lunch with family.

very well said , Christmas a reminder that there is this someone who was born to save us. In the other side i agree , Christmas very commercialized . It is not like before where in Christmas is celebrated in a very simple , joyful way. Today it calls for a big celebration , big parties sometimes the essence is lost because it is more of socialization.

Christmas just like a holiday for me to get rest at home. So, I can sleep late until noon, and I don't have to get up super early in the morning during the cold winter time. I would enjoy the 2 days off of Christmas, and I might text a couple of friends and telling them "Merry Christmas" that is all. About shopping, I am on my budget, and I won't need to shop anymore.

Christmas is about bringing the good news to the world. It is full with spirit of giving and sharing with friends and family. Also about giving to the less fortunate. Many malls and corporations are gearing up to promote givings. I have cut down a lot of shopping and I am currently financially tight. However, I will still give but not expensive items. I love Christmas decorations so much - they are so beautiful and it brings the air of Christmas. But I always love the Christmas when I am much younger, joining the carolers to sing the Christmas carols from house to house, seeing the exciting faces greeting us.

That's a pretty nice definition of Christmas that you just gave. Christmas should definitely be about sharing the love with everyone. It's the birth of Jesus Christ and Jesus loves us. That love should also be given all throughout since Jesus is the son of God. That makes him our brother. Although we should also share love with those who we are not related to. No matter what their color is, no matter what they believe in, we should love them like Jesus loves us.

The Spirit of Christmas is something I hope all of us would have in our hearts and lives not only at this particular season but also throughout the year. When we have the spirit of Christmas, we remember Him whose birth we commemorate at this season of the year. When i was growing up, one of the highlights of every year was Christmas eve. My family and I made brownies, went caroling, and then gathered for a Christmas devotional. We sang hymns and so on and so forth. My father always ended the evening with a Christmas thought that left us in happy tears. Life didn't get any better than Christmas Eve.

I strongly agree , Christmas spirit must be in our heart 365 days and not only December 25. Christmas are for children , look at how their eyes sparkle when they receive a simple gift. So beautiful to have the heart of a kid.

Christmas reminded me of doing something good that will please our Lord Jesus Christ whether is for giving, loving, or forgiving. I do it because of the goodness of our Lord Jesus of saving us from our sins. It is such a wonderful feeling when Christmas comes. I remminded too of the love of God for all people. A Blessed Christmas to you in advance!

Christmas remind us of how big is God's love to us . He bring us the Saviour Jesus Christ. Christmas pictures two things greatness and humility. Greatness because God give us His only son to save all of us and humility because though He was the KIng , he did not tell His friends that He is a son of a king. He prefer to be born in the manger .
