Anyone tried MOOCs yet?

Hey.
Anyone there tried a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) yet? I have signed up for Coursera and am starting one soon. I was wondering if anyone had done any of there digital courses yet, and how they got on...

Hi! You got me curious of this MOOC, is this credited? I mean if you graduated
from this, will it be reconized when you are applying for jobs?

Hi!
It's apparently not officially credited, although they do send out certificates of completion for those who have achieved over a certain grade.
The content of the course is like/as difficult as a university course, but I suppose they can't be sure that it is you, and not someone else, who has done all the assignments. So they haven't figured out ways of accrediting them yet, but I think there are plans to do that in the future. At the moment though, they are free...so I am taking advantage.
One of the MOOCs, Udacity claim some of their 'graduates' have been hired on the basis of their MOOC course, usually for programming courses.
I'm hoping to enjoy it even if I don't get recognition!
