I just love water, the colder the better! I have left home without a bottle of water and I start to have withdrawl symptoms. I have been in the car with my sister before and had to have her pull over so I could get a glass or bottle of water from a restaurant.

It's indeed a good habit to consume more and more water. Somehow I don't have this good habit. And during my school days I remember my mom and dad used to scold me a lot for not drinking enough water. I guess it would have been great if I too had the habit of consuming lot of water.

I have kidney issues and stones since I was a preteen so I have been told no soda most of my life. I remember the kidney doctors saying don't drink cranberry juice it doesn't help cure anything.
So I am glad I have this healthy obsession. :)

I personally know many people around me who have kidney problem and even they are not obsessed by this good habit of yours. Probably they are not that much health conscious as you are.

Water is for sure better for your kidneys and your body than soda or juice. Unless possibly if it is fresh squeezed juice without all the added sugar. I try to eat healthy but after a couple recent surgeries I have fallen in to some old bad habits that I am trying to climb out of but water is still my go to drink.

Water is a good aid in fuelling fluids in our system. It is essential to drink lots of water to maintain the balance of body fluids. The function of water helps in maintaining moisture in our system which helps in: digestion, absorption, circulation and transportation of nutrients and body temperature.
Without maintaining good water intake can lead a person to dehydration which in effect can’t carry out normal body functions. So, maintaining and drinking water is helpful, healthy and refreshing.

true, since water replenishes your system and since your metabolism is used to have more water intake it makes you feel a little dehydrated if you don't put more into your system. have a great day!

Thanks for your response. I completely agree I feel so much better with more energy when I have water and I feel tired and not so good when I don't have any.

It is a good obsession, don't worry, water will keep you hydrated whole day, that is all it will do to your body. If your body demand you to drink more water daily, just go ahead and listen to your body signal, drinking plenty of water is a healthy habit, as long as it is not packed with sugar but just plain pure clean water.

Oh yes it has to be real pure water. I do sometimes use filtered water and make my own fresh lemonade with splenda. My doctor tells me for my kidney stones I should have about 1 cup of lemon juice a day. In addition to the numerous cups of water I drink.

I know drinking too much water can be dangerous, but I don't drink too much. I just like to drink it all day every day instead of other drinks.

I don't know why but I can drink sodas, fruit juice and other flavored drinks in its coolest form but never water. I always drink it hot or warm unless it is really sunny and humid outside and there's no other liquid source then that is the time I can gulp cold water in large quantities. Only problem is, I get sore throat and eventually cough for several weeks after that.

I have heard that people who drink cold water or water with ice get a sore throat. I myself can't drink a particular bottled water from a source local to my area as it burns my throat very badly. My sister even tried to trick me with it one day and a few minutes later I started coughing and my throat was burning severerly.

Well, that's a pretty healthy obsession to have, since drinking a lot of water is really good for you. So I really would not worry about that, just enjoy your very healthy habit!
I wish I was the same, I actually have to remind myself about how important it is to drink a lot of water all the time, otherwise I forget :(

Thanks for the response. I think it's like any other obsession, you get hooked on it and it makes you feel good and you just need to have it.
Of course this is a good obsession to have.

Water is definitely a good addiction to have! I know I really need to start drinking more water. I do like really cold water though. I mostly drink skim milk though - that's my very favorite drink. At least it's better than drinking soda! I think it's really great that you love water so much. Most people probably don't get enough!

Oh my gosh, it sounded like you are really obsessed and addicted to water. Anyway, I like to drink fresh water as well. I like fresh water instead of many kinds of beverages. I mean these beverages do taste good but still fresh water gives me the feeling that almost no other beverages can offer. Most sweet drinks would just make me feel thirsty after a short while drinking them. Just cannot live without fresh water.

I know I hate when I am in the grocery store and I see people with a cart load of soda. Don't they understand how bad that is for them. Some people never drink water.
My daughter had a constipation problem and she never drank water, I got her to start drinking water and now she is just like me she has to have it and she never drinks soda anymore.

I was filtered water mom. I offered water to my kids and their friends when they were growing up. I know some moms were 'kool aid mom' but I never served kool aid to my kids. Only on special occasions did I serve soda, such as a Birthday parties. Don't understand why people drink soda all the time. It just is not healthy and it has so much sugar in it.
I still prefer water - filtered water - to soda. Water is the best for our bodies. Sometimes with a little lemon or lime slices makes it even more refreshing.
