Hello Matedor and welcome to myLot.
I am sure you can tell much more about your country than 'all Roumania is beautiful'. Something that would make your English teacher proud of you. You should give it a try. If you want to convince somebody to visit Romania, you need more.
What did you mean by 'with it's problem..' ?

I don't need any reason to visit it because I've lived here all my life.
You're young and you still believe the 'stories' they teach you in school about how beautiful is our country and how good is the people... Once you grow up, you'll find out that other countries are more beautiful than Romania and they have more possible destinations for vacation.

I mean...they are many problems in my country like in others and if you want reasons to visit it i will tell you something about it...Roumania is crossed by the Carpathian Mountains and near the wonderful landscapes you can find many places where the traditions are kept for houndred of years an is great to see thet people are respecting our ancestors.Danube Delta is the second largest Delta in Europe after Volga. As ecological is considered the 3rd of 300 reserves on earth. It has a stretch of more than 240 square kilometers. And has a fauna with over 250 species. Here you can fish and admire the wild life around you...

Welcome to My Lot. I visited Romania and Bulgaria in 2006. It was so lovely to see the mountains, old towns and little villages. I traveled by train and stayed in backpacker hostels plus guest houses. I found Romanian people friendly and the language sounded delightful to me. In Bulgaria I had a language barrier and much confusion with booking a train ticket. I found a soya drink in a health food shop in one town which made me very happy. I loved visiting the castles in Romania.

Roumania sounds interesting to me. So, what currency do you use in your country.
Can I just bring US Dollars or Euro Dollars if I want to visit Roumania. I can
only speak English, will I have any communication problem there. I am interested
to visit its castles and try its local food. So, which is the best airport and
what is the best mode of transportation to visit the beautiful Roumania at its
best? Thank you.

Yes I was there last summer and probably go back next year since I have a house in Hungary close to the Romanian border. I travelled with my kids and a friend with her (8 or 9 kids inc. 3 grandchildren). We wanted to see Transylvania (because of Hungary ofcourse) and some castles (incl. Vlad's). I can't say that what I saw was beautiful. As soon as we crossed the boarder we only saw pipe above the ground, a lot of rust, many people trying to sell cellphones, old people left behind in the middle of the road by ??? to beg or sell something. The roads are bad, the map we had not complete. It was a long time ago I visited Romania (as a kid I was there several times) and to be honest I was shocked by what I saw after these years. Most people were very unfriendly and far of helpfull. Except for 1 man willing to translate from English into Romanian as we needed a room for the night and some great old men who showed us the way on the map as we ended up in the middle of nowhere. Many hotels/hostels etc refused to give us a room. Not very interested to have customers I assume. We saw hills and mountains with factories on it, big parts of it ware taken away.. not really a nice scenery and it gave me a lot of stress. So I was happy as we ended up in the middle of nowhere.. mountains, green, less people and some flowing water (where the kids did play). Kind of disturbing to us were those gigantic kitsch/shoddy/gaudy giantic houses/palaces of those rich "gypsies".. the kind you find in front of our supermarkets pretending they are homeless. We did visit the castle of Deva and some others. Next time I hope to see something else plus I want to stay longer. I am not interested in the tourist arae (gold beach etc). Must admit my kids were happy if we crossed the boarder again and went to our home in Hungary. They said the Hungarians are way more friendly as the Roumanians were. Already at the boarder they are kind of hostile. I would like to know where the nice people and places are plus the beautiful things. Since what we saw was mostly one big, very old rusty, industry place which was kind of depressing to us.

Hello WakeUpKitty!!
I'm not yet here for too long but I've seen theier roads at highways are good.
They have big parks that you and your kids will enjoy and the beach may not be with very fine sand but still enjoyable. I have an experience with strangers helping me at
the street too. Maybe way back in your experience Romania was still in the process of
growing. I cant say that they have nothing to improve now but I'm sure they have
improved since then. The citizens here are learning I'm sure.
