If someone lies to you, should they get a second chance?

This question is always a hard one. I guess it depends on many factors. Why did they lie? What was their reason? Is it the first time? Or do you feel that a lie is a lie, no matter what?

It depends on many factors like you said. If a person lied and it made a traumatic impact on your life, that type is certainly unforgiveable. If, however, the person lied that my hamburger is not vegetarian, and I took a bite and found out that it is, I'd rip is large intestines out and strangle him with it.

I think i can give second chance to him/her if he/she have a good reason why he/she lie.

I believe in second chances, but when people are constant liers and have done you wrong by some form of deception or has been unfaithful to you, then it is really not worthy of whatever times you might lose to this person, as you really have to make sure you are giving the second chance to the person worthy of it. otherwise it is only in vain and you should have just let it be. forgive the person but be sure to not give the same trust again.

there are really many reasons why people lies. if someone lies to me its OK at first but not to the extent that he or she will do it again. everybody deserves to have a second chance.

I think it depends on the weight of lie s/he made. And if you are a forgivable person, time will just let it pass by. ^_^
