If you love an action packed movie then this one is for you. It starts in the 1870's and he gets to travel through time and winds up on Mars.
Pretty interesting plot if you consider the historical time in this time traveling movie.
Check it out. I rented it at Red Box and it was well worth the 1.00 to watch.

Hey marie2052! Thanks for the recommendation. I absolutely love time travel movies and I can watch most of them over and over again. Back to the Future was a great trilogy and the movie where Meg Ryan fell in love with the time traveler from the past, I can't remember the name! I will rent it on Red Box, for sure. I get texts from them that are for free rentals. I also like a good sci-fi movie that isn't all gory and ignorant...Sphere, Andromeda Strain, and such.

Hi hoseamate, if you liked the timetravel stuff, have you watched Angel Eyes with Jennifer Lopez? I just watched it on TV the other day when they had it on. I forgot how good it is.
Also here is an older movie you might purchase the DVD on Ebay or Amazon Somewhere in Time. Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour were the stars in this movie and I own this DVD. An absolute beautiful love story with the timetravel so unique!
I hear you on the gore and stuff. I can do without all that too.
Did you see Waterworld?
Can you tell I am a movie buff? I would rather watch a good movie than any of these reality shows on tv.

I will certainly try to find those movies, either on netflix or on the rental shelf. I also really, really like the conspiracy theory movies too. Conspiracy Theory, Pelican Brief, Enemy of the State, The Bourne movies...love those type movies too.

I remember reading the Mars series by Edgar Rice Burroughs when I was a kid, but I don't remember the story...
Glad you enjoyed it. I know the professional critics panned it.
Did you know that Taylor Kitcsh, who plays the quintessential all-American boy on Friday Night Lights, is Canadian?

Hope you get to see the movie. I too read the book when I was younger (we are showing our age here LOL)
I am going to purchase the DVD for my collection. I will wind up in a nursing home with a portable little DVD player and a huge DVD collection. LOL

Yes, definitely.. this is a movie that i would recommend. it may not win an award or anything, but it was definitely entertaining.. I just wasn't satisfied with the ending though.. maybe they just left it for us to complete.. but still, kind of a cliffhanger.

My husband & I saw this movie some time ago & I totally agree. To be perfectly honest I had no huge to see it at first because I thought it was going to be another boring action movie, but it wasn't long into the movie that I realized I was wrong. It's a very good movie with very interesting twists & turns, not to mention awesome action scenes.

yeah i totally agree with you its an awesome movie and a must watch for any action movie lover. I saw this movie in a theatre when it was released in my city earliar this year. I loved this movie the story was very intresting,stellar performances from the cast and great action sequences makes it a real joy to watch :)
