I'll never forget when the first Matrix movie came out. 1999, a huge year for movies, going with styles and special effects that had never been seen before, and captivating storylines. One of the biggest movies of the year was the Matric, and scenes like the camera twisting around the characters while in extreme slow motion were just amazing, everybody loved that movie... Then, 3 years later, a sequel to it came out. I vaguely remembered seeing it back then, and not being the biggest on it... but I just had to see it again, try to remember why I felt how I did... And I sure felt the same way as I did before. The storyline to the original was great. Just a common guy, going to the office to work, sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day, boring life... while on the side he was a hacker, the guy really knew his computers better then anyone... but the reason for this little talent of his was revealed through mystery and surprise, taking what was everyday life, and turning it to a whole world that we've never seen, but it exists all around us. Great buildup, great climax, great movie. But the second one didn't do that. The characters were in a world that we had no idea about, we couldn't relate to them, they were slaves in this ultra-poor, yet high-technology world... and the first 40 minutes of the movie are mostly just boring dialog. Where's the action? Where's what we came to see? Those don't start until deep into the second act, and from there, it just goes crazy with action scenes. By this time, we don't know where we are, we don't have any connection to the characters, now it's just wild action sequences, that are really fun, don't get me wrong... scenes like the Matrix businessman jumping from car to car on the highway? Agent Smith being able to clone himself on others, and hundreds of them attacking Neo at once? This movie had some great action scenes... but so much of everything was just lost, nothing was explained, at least not properly. I remember that the second one was bad, and then the 3rd was even worse. Well, I'll still have to try watching it, see what I think... and I'll just hope for some great action scenes, although, I seriously don't remember any great ones from that movie.... I really don't remember anything from it... but we'll just see how it turns out.

The Matrix Reloaded - The Matrix Reloaded, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss
The Matrix was a good movie to watch, but they did loose there way in the 2nd and 3rd part, but still I think it's worth watching once due to special effects and mainly in the 2nd part the highway chase scene was good, in the 3rd I did like the ending even though it could have been better.

yes.. just to let u know..THE MATRIX is my all time favorite movie.. i bought the entire trilogy on bluray boxset. 1999 was truly a great year for movies..and also the oscars..where MATRIX won 4 awards in the oscars..fighting a steep competition from M night shyamalan's legendary movie "The sixth sense" and "Star wars:Phantom Menace Episode 1" i think MATRIX RELOADED is very good too especially the action scenes..and the revelation only comes when he met the architect..it reveals that Neo is actually a part of them instead a part of zion.. MATRIX REVOLUTION..really suck..but still a good closing for the entire trilogy..what i really want is ..the entire destruction of the machine world..and the humans are totally free at last..hope some day The Wachowski brother and sister.(lol thats what the brothers are known as now)will make a final matrix film MATRIX DESTRUCTION !
