Today is the fifth anniversary of former Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor's death. I am a huge Redskins fan. I wish those who killed Taylor would be brought to justice. Please share your memories of Sean Taylor and your thoughts on his untimely passing.

I feel for his family and friends, as there has been no justice yet. Its hard to believe 5 years have gone by already. I remember the news when it happened and thought somebody would be arrested right away.

Nobody was? I thought they arrested two guys soon after. Wow, that is awful.

The person that was arrested wasn't arrested right away and the case is being delayed time after time in court. I'm not sure they have the right person based on reading many of the reports online. What I believe is true: I know there was a break in before he was killed and he had been in a lot of trouble with the law before his child was born. People said he had changed after the baby was born, who is now 6.

Wow! It's hard to believe it's been five years already. I remember the day the news about this came out, because various message boards that I used to post on often were full of feeds with this news. I'm not a Redskins fan at all, but Sean Taylor was a very talented player. I hope that his killers are brought to justice as well, and it's sad that he had to leave behind a family.

Hello Prospectboy, So do I. He was extremely talented. Yes, it certainly is. I, too, still remember the day this news came out like it was yesterday. People were shocked by his passing. The trial of his killers is in April. I hope the trial is not postponed again. Have a great weekend!

I remember how shocked I was when this happened. And when you hear he was shot in the leg you don't think it would be fatal. But then we never think about the artery that if hit, can kill you. I feel for his left behind family.

I'm sorry, I had no idea who this was so I looked it up. What a terrible crime it was. It does make me think that this was not only a break-in to steal something, but a break-in to do the crime intentionally. The news mentioned that someone broke in a few weeks earlier and left a knife on his bed. That reminds me of a warning that I'm coming after you for some reason. How terrible. It's always sad to hear of good people dying at such a young age, no matter who or what they did. I also hope someday, the truth will be told and the perpetrator will be brought to justice.

Five years goes really fast! I live right outside of DC, so the Redskins are pretty big here and Taylor was definitely a celebrity. It's definitely terrible that you can't even sit safely in your home, depending on who wants to take from you. Wow. Has it been five years? Goodness. Time really, really flies.

It still seems like yesterday to me.
