Hello Mylotters, I am so excited right now because my wife is about to give birth sooner for our first baby boy. I have been waiting for this for more than 8 months now, and i wonder how our baby will look like (hopefully, he'll look like me.. like father like son.. hehe :) I'm just praying hard hoping that my wife won't have a hard time giving birth since it is her first time. Guys, how about you? how did you feel when your first baby was born?

hi rubrub, when your baby boy were born later, i think the first thing you will do is to rub his head and rub his body. that's why your name is rubrub, right? congratulations, my friend. i wish your wife and your son both will be safe and healthy so that you will be a happy husband and an excited father. as for me, we (my wife and i) plan to have a child in the year 2014. actually i don't mind if my baby will look like me or look like my wife, because both of us are handsome and pretty!

You know, our baby is a boy so i want him to be like me (coz i am also handsome like you haha joke). Well, my wife is also pretty. If it just happened that our baby is a girl, i would wish her to be like her mother :)

I had my first baby while I was still in College. Actually, I didn't realize that I was really pregnant coz I was still having my period every two months. Others have noticed that I have become a bit bigger. And when I heard them telling me that, I started taking slimming tea and I would be forcing myself to throw up every after meal. I gave birth to my son prematurely, it was only 7 months. I guess, I was so stressed with school works coz I was trying to finish all my clinical requirements as I was a graduating student that time. When I was brought to the hospital, inside the ER, the doctors said that I was going to deliver a baby, I felt my heart sink not because I didn't want him, but because I know how bad my parents would be feeling about it. My mom was with me that time. And I remember saying repeatedly to her that I was so sorry. I didn't know if I was going to make it coz of the pain of childbirth. Gladly, my mom just accepted what has happened and I never heard any bad thing from her. My dad was on his way home for a Christmas break at that time. He was to arrive in a week. That worried me more coz my dad was really strict. But when my mom told him what happened to me, he just gave me a hug and assured me that everything was going to be alright. I was deeply touched by what he said. Now, my eldest son is turning 19 years old and I now have 4 boys.

We both are lucky to have parents like them. Not all parents could have the same positive attitude towards such event.

Oh, thanks for sharing your story. Your parents are too kind and understandable, it's great that you have them with you. At first, when we found out that she was pregnant, we also had the fear of telling our parents about it. Our parents are both strict and we thought that they would be really mad, but fortunately they did not. Right now, our parents are helping us on financial and other supports that we need. So glad to have parents like them :)

Hi rubrub, congratulations upon your new baby boy! Your expression of being in happiness for your new born baby really brings joy to people around you. Not many soon-to-be-fathers always act like this. But it really does shows a sense of joy and treasure for the baby and to the wife. Good for you. Wish you a blessed family, and have a nice day.

Congratulations!!! We'll that's really exciting. It's a great blessing too. There are thoughts that we can only repay our parents when we can become parents too. The happiness of having a child is coupled with the responsibility of raising him into a good citizen. You may encounter hardships but you can overcome all of them.

That was incredible, prayers to your wife and unborn child and congratulations to you Rub.. i have my cute little daughter for 1 year a 4 months now. If you were to ask me how do i feel when i first saw her, it was unexplained feeling of excitement, happiness and somehow fear, since it was my first baby and i don't have any idea on how to be a parent but i did it and she was amazing... Eventually i have learn ways on how to take care of my little baby and so as to you. I wish you all the best, more power to your wife...prayers..
