There is a saying,"it is better to give than to receive." Giving is an act of loving. When God gave His Son for mankind for us to be saved, He truly gave generously. That is because He loves all people and wants everyone to be saved. It's Christmas time again, and it is a season of giving. This is the essence of Christmas. It is really a good feeling when we give to our loved ones, friends, relatives, and even strangers. Do you agree on this that it is better to give than to receive?

Indeed it is. Giving is sharing to other people what you have and the most valuable gifts I think are not material things. Giving your time, sharing some part of yourself to other people are immeasurable. Furthermore, giving without expecting in return is the best act of love.

Hi friend, i agree with you, giving is always have its own importance and our hands will be always up while we are giving some thing to others. The person who is interested in giving will get a lot in his life and share his wealth to the poor and needy people to get satisfaction with his activities. Enjoy this Christmas by giving things to other persons. Merry Christmas

hi there,
indeed the value of giving is worthless. and it cannot be compared in receiving things. and i do love to give than to received. hence, i cannot compare the countless feeling of joy whenever i give something.

I must agree with you on that, giving will always be a best acts from every individual. To give is to share their blessings to other people. We don't need to expect anything in return because God knows better what is good for you, he will take care of the rest... Christmas is fast approaching and it time to give thanks and love to one another... share the things we have and remember the people who have been a part of our life...

I agree. Aside from the reasons stated above, giving also serves us as a reminder that we are blessed enough to be able to share our blessings to those who need it the most. Afterall, it is better to be the one who have the capacity to render help than be the one who needs it. So in giving, we must also be thankful because we are able to.

Totally agree. Just look at all the poor kids in Africa. If everyone in America who has plenty of food to eat could give just a small portion to those families, it would make a big difference. It always feels good when you give from the heart, and you see the reciever's happy thankful face. Now that is a blessing!
Also, if the Lord gave us life, and a place to live and food to eat, we should give back a little. Give to the ones who need. They are also the lord's creation.

I agree it is better to give than take. If a man can accept just one of many God's loving nature within him, he will feel good through his act of generosity, and get to feel the love of God touching him. It is Christmas again, the time of giving instead receiving is here for all Christians around the world.

I agree that it is better to give. We give of our time, we can give gifts, we can give money all throughout the year. It is important that we give. We will definitely have more joy and satisfaction when we give of ourselves to others.

Look, being practical everybody expects something in return if he gives some kind of service or whatever.
Lemme give you an example.
Yesterday I went to my mother's friend's son because I want to learn how he works because in future I also want to be a businessman. What he said , that AMAZED ME !
He said, ok I will give you tips and teach you all but in return I want something from you as everybody expects because of its selfish nature. He said he will teach me everything for 6 months and after 6 months I have to work for at least 1 and a half years with him and I cannot leave him in between. Look this is not selfish but in practical and current world its not possible for its better to give than to receive. Everyone has a right to receive also to survive in this Cruel world.
Thanks
Raghav
