I have been thinking on which is better, a house and lot or a condominium? Condo unit is cheaper than a house. Plus, I don't need a big space anyway. But a house gives you more privacy. How about you, guys? What would you choose?

It all depends on each individu. If you are single, most people likes condo. For a family, they prefer a house, because of the space.
Condo has maintenance fee. Most people don't like this part, as this is a fix cost. This maintenance fee will never decrease. In a house, this happens once a while but uncontrollable. Why uncontrollable, because we don't know what's going to break. Flooding, leaking, roofing, etc, these are things that we don't know when it is going to happen. The older the house, the more probability that needs fixing. So if you don't have a handy person, this can be a costly one. For condo, this is taken care of. Other type of maintenance for house: such as taking care of the lawn.
Security is another thing. Condo have 24/7 security, we can go for vacation at anytime with no worry. An empty house is always noticeable and attract robbery.
Facility. Condo has more amenities, like swimming pool/gym. For a person who likes to exercise, this is a positive thing to have. We don't have to buy membership for a gym, we don't have to go outside to go to gym.
Location, condo is closer to everywhere. House in central area tend to be very expensive, so to get the same price of a condo, location usually is further away. This means more transportation cost.
But a house has more space. I think this is a big thing for family. So it all depends of what your situation is. Following to your situation, write the pros and cons of each and come to a decision.
